WCSO Alerts: Driver arrested for DUI after striking multiple mailboxes before fleeing

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents for Monday, March 8, 2021. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Monday, March 8, 2021


Hit and Run- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 83 in reference to multiple reports of an unknown individual in a champagne in color Nissan passenger vehicle striking multiple mailboxes and leaving the scene around 5:00pm. The driver was later arrested by Georgia State Patrol in Morgan County for Driving Under the Influence.  


Arrest- A 49-year-old Monroe woman was arrested in the area of Gratis Road and Meadow Walk Drive for Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Drugs Not in Original Container following a traffic stop.


Arrest- A 62-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on New Hope Church Road for Possession of Schedule II Drugs, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and Open Container following a dispute. 


Arrest- A 38-year-old Loganville woman was arrested at a residence on Chandler Haulk Road for Criminal Damage to Property following a dispute. 


Disturbing the Peace- Deputies responded to a noise complaint in the area of Wanda Court in reference to complainant reporting loud noises coming from their neighbor’s house. The neighbor was cited for Disorderly House
