WCSO Alerts: Drug arrests, entering autos and stolen and recovered vehicle

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents for the period Friday, May 15 – Sunday, May 17, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, May 15, 2020

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 23-year-old Jefferson man was arrested in the area of Highway 11 near Windstream for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop.

Arrest- A 32-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road for Simple Assault, Simple Battery, and Criminal Trespass following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 36-year-old Loganville man was arrested at Jerry’s Corner Store for an outstanding Parole Violation following a suspicious vehicle call.

Saturday, May 16, 2020

ZONE 1

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence on Calument Lane in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual jiggling the complainant’s doorknob causing their dogs to bark around 10:00pm and left the area prior to deputy’s arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

Firearms Complaint- Deputies took a report at a residence on Turner Ridge Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was shooting a firearm in the direction of the complainant’s residence around 12:30 pm. The complainant reported the shooting came from the lake area across the road. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with anyone firing a weapon at the time of the report. It appears as if someone is shooting in an unsafe manner in the wooded area. Extra patrol in reference to the incident.

ZONE 3

Trespassing- Deputies responded to the area of Jones Woods Road around 7:30 pm in reference to a complaint of several unknown individuals in trucks and riding four-wheelers “mudding” in the area. Several individuals on four-wheelers fled the area prior to the deputy’s arrival, but two individuals were issued criminal trespass warnings. Ongoing issue in this area.

ZONE 4

Disturbing the Peace/Suspicious Vehicles- Deputies responded to the area of Shoal Creek Road and Summerset Drive in reference to several complainants of an ongoing issue with three specific vehicles speeding, driving recklessly and laying drag in the area. The vehicles were described to be a black in color Ford Mustang, sports bike (motorcycle) and a white in color pickup truck. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicles. Extra patrol in reference to the ongoing issue.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 20-year-old Loganville was arrested at a residence on Lee Peters Road for Reckless Conduct and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a firearms call.

Arrest- A 25-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Watson Fain Trail for an outstanding warrant out of Monroe Police Department following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Bunny Court around 6:00 pm in reference to a complaint of unknown individuals riding ATVs recklessly through several residents’ property in the area. Deputies made contact with the individuals and they were advised not to return to the area.

Sunday, May 17, 2020

ZONE 3

Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of Indian Creek Road in reference to a complaint of several unknown individuals fighting at creek in the area when several shots were fired in the air. Complainant reported all individuals fled the scene at this time prior to deputy’s arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact. No known injuries reported.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Brushcreek Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entering two of the complainant’s unlocked vehicles and took several items including an iPad sometime between 8:00pm May 17th and 5:00am May 18th. IPad was placed on the National Database as stolen. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division Investigating the incident.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Brushcreek Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s locked vehicle and took a firearm sometime between 5:00pm May 17th and 7:00 am May 18th. The firearm was placed on the National Database as stolen. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of Brush Creek Drive in reference to an unknown individual taking the complainants unlocked vehicle with the keys in it sometime in the late evening or early morning hours. Deputies later recovered the vehicle in Monroe.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 24-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Bold Springs Road for Loitering/Prowling and Entering Auto following a trespassing call.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of High Point Ridge in reference to complainant reporting an unknown motorist in a white in color van driving slowly and acting suspiciously in the area around 3:00 am. Complainant reported this is an ongoing issue with what appears to be the same vehicle and due to recent thefts it appeared to be particularly suspicious. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

ZONE 6

Illegal Dumping- Deputies took a report in the area of Highway 78 in reference to complainant reporting an ongoing issue with an unknown individual dumping debris and logs on the complainant’s property.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 32-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Nunnally Farms Road for Possession of Ecstasy, Theft by Receiving, and Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony following a traffic stop.
