The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Jan. 25 – 26, 2021. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Arrest– A 59-year-old Oxford man was arrested at a residence on Fletcher Drive on an outstanding warrant for a violation of a Protection Order out of Walton County following a dispute.
Arrest– A 19-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Bay Creek Church Road for Obstruction of an Officer, Following too Closely, and Driving Without Insurance following a traffic incident.
Entering Auto– Deputies took a report at a residence on Bay Creek Church Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between the hours of 10:00pm on Thursday, January 21 and 8:00am on Friday, January 22. Numerous items reported missing.

Hit and Run– Deputies responded to the area of Unisia Drive and Good Hope Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual in a black in color Nissan passenger vehicle striking the complainant’s vehicle and leaving the scene around 4:30am.
Suspicious Person– Deputies took a report at a business on Guthrie Cemetery Road in reference to complainant reporting a suspicious person that approached a worker between the hours of 2 pm and 3 pm. Deputies thoroughly searched the area, but no contact was made with the individual. Extra patrol has been added in the area.
Arrest– April Lacey (54 of Martinez) A 54-year-old Martinez woman was arrested at Crowe’s Grocery on Highway 81 for Driving Under the Influence, Obstruction of an Officer, Open Container, Possession of Meth, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Contraband Across Guardline following a suspicious vehicle report.
Arrest– A 43-year0old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Industrial Park Way on a Probation Warrant following a traffic stop.
Extra Patrol– Extra patrol was requested in the area of Park Street at Walnut Grove Park in reference to several complaints of an ongoing issue with an unknown individual laying drag at the park during the late evening hours.
