WCSO Alerts: Firefighter’s gear stolen, motorist hits tree then leaves scene

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Thursday, June 8, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 138 and Cannon Farm Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 2

Theft: Deputies took a report at a fire station on Whitney Road in reference to someone taking complainant’s work gear.

ZONE 3

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol was requested in the area of Brentwood Boulevard in reference to complaints of an ongoing issue with a speeding black Chevy Camaro. Deputies thoroughly check the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

ZONE 4

Trespassing: Deputies took a report at a residence on Mount Vernon Road in reference to an unknown individual observed around a vacant house. Deputies thoroughly check the area, but no contact was made with the individual. Everything appeared to be okay.

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Gratis Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

Suspicious Vehicle: Deputies responded to the area of Mountain Creek Church Road in reference to a silver four door passenger car striking a tree and leaving the scene of the accident. Deputies thoroughly checked the area. No contact was made with the silver vehicle. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 5

Arrest: Anthony Mathis was arrested at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Road for outstanding Probation Violation warrant following a welfare check

Arrest: Phillip Henson was arrested at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Road for Possession of Marijuana Less than One Ounce following a welfare check.

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol was requested at a business on Highway 81 in reference to unknown individuals on location after hours.

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol was requested in the area of Zach’s Creek Subdivision in reference to on ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Bold Springs Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Damage to Property: Deputies took a report at a residence on Pass Road in reference to a Honda Civic wrecking complainant’s fence. Contact was made with the owner of the vehicle and it was removed.
