WCSO Alerts: Hit and run, 4-vehicle wreck and entering auto

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Tuesday and Wednesday Feb. 14 and 15, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 2

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Williow Springs Lane in reference to homeowner hearing noises around their residence. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact with anyone. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 3

ZONE 4

Arrest- Johnny Grindle was arrested at a residence in the area of Walton Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Arrest- Ivan Vargus-Montoya was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Alton Green Road for Driving Without a License following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Hit and Run- Deputies responded to a two vehicle hit and run accident in the area of Highway 81 and Jennifer Court. Motorist reported being rear-ended by a Chevy Silverado and motorist fled the scene prior to deputy’s arrival. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Trespassing- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Bold Springs Road in reference to a green Chevrolet Silverado “mudding” at a construction site in the area. Motorist was gone prior to deputy’s arrival.

Citation- Deputies responded to the area of Bullock Trail in reference to a verbal dispute, and one individual was cited for Disorderly Conduct and given a Criminal Trespass warning.

Fraud- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Grady Smith Road to take a report of complainant sending money via green dot to an unknown individual from Facebook Market to purchase an item that was listed. Since the transaction complainant has had no contact with the seller and never received the product.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a four vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11 and Alton Green Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Entering Auto- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Powell Court in Hickory Grove Estates Subdivision to take a report of an unknown individual entering complainants vehicle and taking a firearm. Firearm was placed on the national database as stolen.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Highway 81 in reference to a dark in color motorcycle speeding and driving recklessly in the area. This is an ongoing issues in the early evening hours.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Adrian Booth was arrested in at a residence in the area of Windermere Drive in Hidden Creek Subdivision for outstanding warrant out of Dekalb County.
ZONE 7

Theft- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Madeline Court to take a report of an unknown individual taking items from the residence unlawfully.
