WCSO Alerts: Man arrested for vehicle theft, battery, more following vehicle chase

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday, June 1 to Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Monday, June 1, 2020


Trespassing- One individual was issued a Criminal Trespass citation for Belmont Subdivision in the area of Bella Drive following being found taking items out of a dumpster on location around 5:30 pm.


Arrest- A 34-year-old Monroe man was arrested at The Store on Mount Vernon Road for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Trespassing- One individual was issued a Criminal Trespass warning at Cowpens Store following a dispute.


Arrest- Terrill Wooten (39 of  Macon) was arrested in the area of Knight Circle (in Gwinnett County) following a vehicle pursuit. Wooten was arrested for Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle, Theft by Taking, Interference with a 911 Call, Fleeing to Elude, Duty to Stop Upon Striking a Fixed Object, and Battery following a dispute that originated at a residence on Mill Court.

Tuesday, June 2, 2020


Arrest- A 22-year-old Good Hope man was arrested in the area of Monroe Jersey Road and Dean Hill Road for Possession of Schedule III Drugs and Failure to Maintain Lane following a traffic stop.


Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of High Shoals Road and Club Drive in reference to a complaint of unknown males in a gold in color pickup truck riding through the subdivision and, what appeared to be, filming the area around 4:20 pm.


Damage to Property- Deputies responded to Creekside Subdivision in the area of Highway 83 in reference to a report of an unknown individual damaging the subdivision sign with graffiti sometime between 7:00 pm June 1st and 8:30 pm June 2nd
