The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alert for the Monday, April 30, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Oak Valley Drive in reference to complainant reporting they heard unknown noises outside their residence around 10:50pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anything.
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Harris Rockmore Road and Jersey Walnut Grove Road in reference to unknown individual(s) dumping construction debris on the shoulder of the roadway illegally.
Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Monroe Jersey Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking a leaf blower from their residence. Leaf blower was placed on the National Database as stolen.
Susupicous Person- Deputies responded to the area of Shoal Creek Road in reference to an unknown male walking down the street. Deputies made contact and the individual was reporting missing out of Barrow County. Individual was turned over to Barrow County Deputies.
Arrest- Gloire Mgungu was arrested at Maxi Mart Gas Station in the area of Highway 78 for Disorderly Conduct following taking a lighter from the store.
Arrest- John Smith was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Thompson Road for Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic stop.
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Nunnally Farm Road in reference to complainant reporting they saw an unknown individual looking in several cars in the area around 2:10am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.
Arrest- Jesus Casarrubias was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Buck Smith Road for Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic
