WCSO Alerts: Multiple weekend accidents kept deputies busy

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for the dates Friday to Sunday, Feb. 17 – 19, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, February 17, 2017

ZONE 1

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 138 at Woodlake Baptist Church. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to safety check.

Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

•Lauren Waldrip was arrested for an outstanding Parole Violation, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Criminal Interference with Government Property, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Bring Contraband Across Guard lines, Giving False Information and Obstruction of an Officer.

ZONE 2

ZONE 3

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Old Monroe Madison Road and Gene Bell Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to safety check.

Citations in reference to Safety Check:

•One motorist was cited for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Russell Moss was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Mount Vernon Road for Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane and Violation of Driver License Agreement. Passenger was also cited for Disorderly Conduct.

ZONE 5

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 6

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Lee Peters Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies responded to a business in the area of Highway 20 in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. Deputies ran the vehicle information and it came back stolen out of DeKalb County.

ZONE 7

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Emmett Still Road and Silver Thorne Drive. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

ZONE 1

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Leone Avenue. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 138 and Jewel Ridge. No injuries. One motorist was cited for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Theft- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Sterling Water Drive in Lakeshore Estates Subdivision to take a report of an unknown individual taking several items from complainant’s residence unlawfully.

ZONE 2

Theft/Found Property- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Amber Stapp Studdard Road to take a report of an unknown individual possibly taking and opening homeowner’s mail unlawfully. Complainant also reported finding opened mail in their front yard that belongs to another resident in the area.

ZONE 3

Entering Auto- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Clearwater Way in Clearwater Estates Subdivision to take a report of an unknown individual entering complainant’s vehicle and taking several items unlawfully.

ZONE 4

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Highway 78 in reference to an unknown individual that appeared to be watching their residence from across the highway. Deputies thoroughly checked the area and had no contact with anyone. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 5

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 81 and Forest Falls Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to safety check.

Citation in reference to Safety Check:

•One motorist cited for Driving Without Insurance.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

ZONE 6

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 20 and Rosebud Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Theft- Deputies responded to a the area of Logans Terrace in Logans Ridge Subdivision to take a report an unknown individual taking solar lights that illuminated the subdivision sign unlawfully.

ZONE 7

Firearm Complainant- Deputies responded to the area of Cambridge Terrance in reference to complainant hearing several shot being fired in the area. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. Everything appeared to be okay.

Fraud- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Hillview Drive to take a report of an unknown individual calling complainant stating that if they bought a $300 Amazon Gift Card it would lower their service bill. Complainant contacted their provider and reported it was determined to be a fraudulent call and they were not running a promotion like this.

ZONE 1

Burglary- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Cannon Farm Road to take a report of an unknown individual entering complainant’s residence and going through their items unlawfully. Nothing reported missing at the time of the report.

ZONE 2

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

ZONE 3

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 4

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Phillips Drive and Deer Court in Parker Estates Subdivision in reference to several juveniles riding 4-wheelers without helmets. Deputies made contact with the motorist and they were advised to put on helmets and they complied.

Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

•William Rainey was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Possession of Heroin.

ZONE 5

Entering Auto- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Maple Ridge Drive in Maple Ridge Subdivision to take a report of an unknown individual taking several items from their vehicle unlawfully.

ZONE 7

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Briscoe Drive and Stewart Road in reference to juveniles riding dirt bikes without helmets. Deputies checked the area, no contact. Everything appeared to be okay.

Counterfeit- Deputies responded to a business in the area of Highway 138 to take a report of an unknown female purchasing several items with counterfeit five dollar bills.
