WCSO and Social Circle PD investigating a stabbing in Walton County

The Social Circle Police Department and Walton County Sheriff’s Office are working a stabbing that is believed to have happened somewhere in the Social Circle area of Walton County on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

Social Circle Police Chief Tyrone Oliver said SCPD were called to an address inside the city limits and arrived to find a man on the sofa with a stab wound in the chest area.

“He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” Oliver said. “It was determined that the stabbing took place at a local gas station inside Walton County – the BP gas station. WCSO was called as it was not inside the city.”

However, Oliver said the investigation indicates that the stabbing actually did not appear to have happened at the gas station. He said video surveillance does not support it taking place there or even that the victim was there. The victim is not being cooperative, so at this point it is not clear exactly where the stabbing took place or who was responsible for it. Oliver said the victim initially said he did not know who it was that stabbed him, but is not giving them any more information at this time. Both agencies continue to investigate the incident. Oliver said the victim was still in the hospital on Wednesday mornin.

Arrest: Clinton Watkins was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Lakeshore Drive for Possession of Marijuana Less than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

Assault: Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 11 in reference to a victim being stabbed in the chest. Victim was transported to the Clearview Regional Hospital in stable condition. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Social Circle Police Department are working the ongoing investigation.

ZONE 3

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Old Monroe Madison Highway. Minor injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol was requested in the area of Brentwood Boulevard in reference to harassment.

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11 and Eliza Doster Road. No known injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 6

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Youth Monroe Road. No known injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 7

Arrest: Dante Casey and Erica Perez were arrested at a residence on Old Highway 138 following a dispute. Dante Casey was arrested for Simple Battery and Interference with a 911 call. Erica Perez was arrested for outstanding Warrants out of Paulding County.

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol was requested in the area of Greenhill Way in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.
