WCSO Alerts: Road rage, robbery, recovered vehicle, harassment and burglary complaints

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for the period Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 to Monday, Nov. 6, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Recovered Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Frank Camp Road in reference to locating a stolen golf cart out of Walton County.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of A D Farmer Road in reference to a complainant of an unknown individual spot lighting deer. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but no contact with anyone.

ZONE 4

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Mount Vernon Road in reference to an unknown individual taking several items from the residence.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Jose Garica-Herrera was arrested at a residence in the area of Plantation Ridge Court for Battery following a dispute.

Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017

ZONE 1

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Cannon Farm Road in reference to an unknown individual taking money orders from complainant’s drop box.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Peter Cemetery Road in reference to an unknown vehicle parked at complainant’s residence. Complainant advised vehicle was also seen speeding in the area. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident. 

ZONE 4

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Mount Vernon Road in reference to an unknown individual seen walking around the residence. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident. 

ZONE 5

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Nancy Way in reference to an unknown individual attempting to gain entry into complainant’s residence. Deputies thoroughly check the area, but had no contact with the individual.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Watson Mill Court in reference to an unknown individual damaging complainant’s vehicle.

Harassment- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 81 in reference to an individual cutting off complainant’s power and throwing tack nails in their driveway.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bold Springs Road and Mountain Creek Church Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to this safety check.

  • Joshua Smith was arrested after attempting to flee from Safety Check for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County, Fleeing to Elude, Failure to Maintain Lane, Driving While Unlicensed and Speeding. 

Arrest- Robert Taylor was arrested in the area of Bold Springs Road for an outstanding warrant out of Walton County for a Probation Violation, Possession of Schedule IV Drugs, and Possession of Prescription Drugs not in Original Container following a traffic stop.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Tom Brewer Road in reference to an unknown individual taking items from complainant’s residence.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a business in the area of Vine Street in reference to two individuals on location and refusing to leave. Individuals were gone prior to deputy’s arrival.

ZONE 3

Arrest- Christopher Stephens was arrested at a residence in the area of Thoroughbred Trail for Aggravated Assault and three counts of Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree following a dispute.

Road Rage- Deputies responded to the area of Bentley Road and Highway 81 in reference to a third party call were a motorist on a three wheeled motorcycle and a motorist in a white passenger vehicle were driving aggressively and one motorist pulled a gun out. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicles/motorist. Advised they were in route towards Gwinnett County.

Arrest- Tyler Alcarez was arrested at a residence in the area of Highway 81 for Battery and two counts Cruelty in Children in the Third Degree following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Brian McClure was arrested at a residence in the area of Highway 78 for an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale County.

Arrest- David Corley was arrested in the area of Highway 11 for an outstanding warrant out of Walton County for Failure to Appear following a Suspicious Person call.

Arrest- Betty Amos was arrested at a residence in the area of Stoney Creek Court for Battery following a dispute.

Robbery- Deputies took a report in the area of Highway 20 in reference to an unknown individual attacking complainant and taking several items. Suspect was described to be a heavy set white male dress in black. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene of the incident.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Dry Pond Road in reference to an unknown individual entering complainant’s vehicle and taking several items.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Floye Drive in Brookview Manor Subdivision in reference to an unknown motorist in a dark Dodge pick-up truck speeding during the night time hours
