WCSO Alerts: Stolen vehicle; stolen boat trailer; hit and runs and slew of entering autos over the weekend

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, Jan. 15 – Monday, Jan. 18, 2021.

Friday, Jan. 15, 2021

ZONE 1

Arrest– A 35-year-old Covington man was arrested at a residence on Greendale Road for Battery Family Violence and two counts of Cruelty to Children 3rd degree.

ZONE 2

Hit and Run– Deputies responded to a hit and run accident in the area of Dean Hill Road in reference to an unknown individual in a blue in color Toyota passenger vehicle leaving the scene. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but no contact was made with the individual.

ZONE 6

Entering Auto– Deputies responded to multiple residences in the areas of Richmond Hill Road, Lexington Drive, and Belmont Drive in reference to an unknown individual gaining entry into several vehicles in the area between the hours of 7pm and 8:15am. One individual reported that their debit card, credit cards, driver’s license, car title, and cash was stolen from their unlocked vehicle. No other complainants reported stolen items.

Entering Auto– Deputies responded to a residence on Nunnally Farm Road in reference to an unknown individual gaining entry into an unlocked vehicle in the area between the hours of 2pm and 5pm. A handgun was reported stolen from the vehicle. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but no contact was made with the individual.

ZONE 7

Arrest– A 24-year-old Monroe was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Robertson Road for Driving Under the Influence, Head Light Violation, Open Container, Littering, and Cancelled Registration following a traffic stop. 

Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021

ZONE 7

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Greenhill Way in reference to a stolen silver in color Toyota Camry. The vehicle was reported to be stolen between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am. The missing vehicle has dark tinted windows and is missing the passenger side mirror. 

Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021

ZONE 3

Lost Item- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 186 in reference to a complainant reporting a missing boat trailer.

ZONE 4

Arrest- A 58-year-old Monroe man was arrested for Simple Battery and Hindering a 911 Call following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Entering Auto- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Nunnally Farm Road in reference to an unknown individual gaining entry into two vehicles in the area between the hours of 5pm on Thursday, January 14th and 1pm on Sunday, January 17th. The complainant reported a gun was stolen from one of the vehicles.

ZONE 7

Hit and Run- Deputies responded to a hit and run accident in the area of Highway 138 and Youth Jersey Road in reference to an unknown individual in a red in color pickup truck that left the scene. 

Monday, January 18, 2021

ZONE 3

Hit and Run– Deputies responded to a hit and run accident in the area of Highway 78 at Bradley Gin Road in reference to an individual in a black in color Ford pickup truck that struck another vehicle. The individual was later identified and arrested. The case was handled by the Georgia State Patrol.

ZONE 4

Arrest– A 54-year-old Monroe man was arrested for outstanding warrants for Domestic Violence charges following involvement in a Hit and Run.
