WCSO Alerts: Suspicious vehicle complaints and traffic stops net arrests, including for a stolen vehicle

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents for the period March 1 – 2, 2021. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Monday, March 1, 2021

ZONE 5

Hit and Run– Deputies responded to a hit and run incident in the area of Highway 81 and Ozora Church Road in reference to an unknown individual in a white in color Ford pickup truck striking the complainant’s vehicle and leaving the scene. Georgia State Patrol handled the case.

ZONE 6

Arrest– A 54-year-old Loganville woman was arrested in the area of Atha Circle for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Report an Accident following a 911 call.

Arrest– A 31-year-old man was arrested at Jet Auto Sales on Lance Court on outstanding warrants out of Gwinnett County following a suspicious vehicle report.

Tuesday, March 2, 2021

ZONE 1

Arrest– A 39-year-old Social Circle man was arrested at the Shell Gas Station on Highway 81 on an outstanding warrant out of Newton County following a suspicious vehicle report.

ZONE 3

Arrest– A 21-year-old Sandersville man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Locklin Road for Stealing a Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Stolen Vehicle– Deputies took a report at Atlanta East Auto Auction on Highway 78 in reference to complainant reporting a stolen green in color Land Rover passenger vehicle taken from the property between Saturday, January 30, 2021 and Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

ZONE 7

Arrest– A 39-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on New Horizon Drive on outstanding warrants out of Walton County following a dispute.
