WCSO Alerts: Thefts of lawn equipment, parts off vehicle and front of subdivision lights

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reports the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Tuesday, April 28, 2020 – Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Tuesday, April 28, 2020

ZONE 1

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Gaunt Road in reference to several complainants of an ongoing issue with a Mercedes Benz passenger vehicle speeding in the area while people are walking near the roadway.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 46-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Mount Vernon Road near The Store for Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of Methamphetamine, Driving While License Suspended, and an outstanding warrant out of Oconee County following a suspicious activity call.

Arrest- A 44-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Chandler Road and Highway 83 for Driving Under the Influence, Hit and Run Accident, Violation of Limited Permit, and Duty to Stop Upon Striking a Fixture following a traffic stop where he was identified at the suspect of damage to property in the area.

ZONE 5

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Forest Falls Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took the complainants lawn blower sometime overnight. Lawn blower was placed on the National Database as stolen. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Bullock Bridge Road at Belmont Farms in reference to complaints of an ongoing issue with several ATVs driving through the subdivision throughout the day.

ZONE 6

Theft- Deputies took a report at a business on Garmon Park Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took parts off a vehicle on location sometime within the last two weeks. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

ZONE 7

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Youth Monroe Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown motorist in a white in color flatbed wrecker with no logo driving recklessly and causing damage to several trash bins in the area around 12:50 am. The motorist fled the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival.

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 46-year-old Monroe woman and a 26-year-old Athens were arrested at a residence on Thoroughbred Trail following a dispute. One was charged with battery and the other with simple battery.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 28-year-old Monroe man was arrested at the Marathon Gas Station on Ozora Church Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Driving Under the Influence following a suspicious vehicle call.

ZONE 6

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Marce Camp Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took several items from the complainants unlocked vehicle sometime between 10:30 pm April 28thand 7:30 am April 29th.

Thursday, April 30, 2020

ZONE 5

Theft- Deputies took a report on White Oak Trace in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took the electric timer for the lights at the front of the subdivision sometime between 12:00 am April 24th and 2:50 pm April 30th.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 27-year-old South Carolina man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and EZ Stop for Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Suspended, and a Headlight Violation following a traffic stop.
