The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Highway 186 in reference to an ongoing issue with complainants of dump trucks speeding in the area throughout the day.
Arrest- A 29-year-old Monroe resident was arrested in the area of Partain Road for Driving Under the Influence following a single-vehicle vehicle accident with no life-threatening injuries.
Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Piney Grove Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered a shop at the complainant’s residence and took several items, including a Stihl Chainsaw, sometime overnight. Chainsaw was entered on the National Database as stolen.

Firearms Complainant- Deputies responded to the area of Gordon Reynolds Road in reference to a complainant of hearing approximately three gunshots in the area of Cornish Mountain Church Road. Deputies made contact with the individual who reported they shot three times at an opossum around 10:15pm.
Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence on Marce Camp Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took the complainant’s Toyota passenger vehicle sometime between April 26th and May 2nd. Complainant left the vehicle to be worked on, but when they returned to retrieve the vehicle it has been stolen. Vehicle was placed on the National Database as stolen. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.
Arrest- A 29-year-old Loganville resident was arrested at a residence on Greens Mill Road for Terroristic Threats and Acts and Obstruction of an Officer following a dispute.
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of H D Atha Road in reference to several complainants of an ongoing issue with a motorist in a blue, black, and gray Ford Mustang speeding in the area of H D Atha Road and Countyline Road around 5:00pm every day.
Arrest- A 30-year-old Covington man was arrested at a residence on Lower Jersey Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a dispute.
Firearms Complainant- Deputies responded to the area of Ella Springs Drive in reference to complainant reporting they hear gunshots in the area around 10:40 pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone shooting firearms.
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence on Pleasant Valley Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual in a white in color passenger vehicle pulled into the complainant’s driveway, got out of their vehicle, and laid in the complainant’s yard around 10:20 pm. Individual fled the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.
Arrest- A 21-year-Eatonton man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Bradley Gin Road for several outstanding warrants out of Albany, Georgia and cited for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.
Citation- One individual was cited at a residence on Lee Peters Road for Disorderly Conduct following being found on location causing a disturbance.
