
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Tuesday, Feb. 23 – Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 5
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 11 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual slashing their tires between the hours of 5:30 pm on Monday, Feb. 22 and 8:30 am on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021
ZONE 3
Arrest– An 18-year-old Covington man was arrested at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church on Golfview Trail for Speeding, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device, Reckless Driving, Passing on Solid Yellow Line, Driving on Wrong Side of Road, License Plate Used to Conceal ID, No County Decal, Criminal Damage to Property, and Felony Fleeing following a police chase.

ZONE 3
Arrest- A 26-year-old Commerce man and a 30-year-old Athens woman were arrested at Dollar General on Queens Cemetery Road for Felony Theft by Shoplifting following a report.
ZONE 5
Damage to Property– Deputies took a report at a business on Nathan Boulevard in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual cutting a hole in their fence between Jan. 25 and Feb. 25. Extra patrol was added to the area.
