In its Hazardous Outlook for the next week, the National Weather Service is advising on the possibility of flooding overnight Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, with the possibility between Thursday and Tuesday next week of freezing rain and snow. This covers portions of north and central Georgia, including Walton, Gwinnett and surrounding counties. No advisories have been issued for the local area at this time, but North Georgia Weather is sharing Winter Weather Advisories for the northern Georgia Counties.

A mixture of rain and freezing rain that will transition to snow will be possible across NE Georgia. A winter weather advisory from Thursday morning into early Friday. Ice accumulations up to a tenth of an inch and snow accumulations of up to one inch will be possible, with up to two inches in the highest elevations.
