In its hazardous outlook, the National Weather Service is warning that storms in the forecast for the next few days could become strong to severe, beginning this afternoon, June 23, 2020. In the local area, storms are expected to begin about an hour or so after midday so if you plan to leave the house, you may want to take an umbrella!
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight… An increased coverage of showers and thunderstorms can be expected today into tonight. A few thunderstorms may become strong to severe this afternoon and evening. The main hazards will be gusty winds…frequent lightning and heavy rain. .
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon and evening. Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain will be possible with any storms that do develop. A cold front is expected to move through the area on Wednesday through Friday bringing additional chances for scattered thunderstorms.
