The National Weather Service in Atlanta has issued a Wind Advisory for several areas in north and central Georgia, including in Gwinnett, Walton and surrounding counties, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. this evening, March 18, 2021.
West winds near 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are possible. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, down tree limbs and a few power outages may result. Wet ground may allow for some trees to come down more easily. Motorists are also urged to use extra caution, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
