The National Service in Peachtree City has issued a Flood Warning for the Alcovy River Near Lawrenceville. From this evening until Further Notice. At 6:15 p.m. the State was at 8;5 ft and rising. Flood Stage is at 9 p.m. Flood state is at 9 ft. Minor flooding begins at woodlands upstream and downstream from the River Gauge at New Hope Road.More Information

The Weather Service at Peachtree City has issued a Flood Watch for portions of Georgia, including Walton, Gwinnett and surrounding counties through Wednesday morning. Heavy rain is expected during that period with 2 to 3 inches likely with locally higher amounts possible. Several creeks and rivers could rise out of the banks. Roads could be closed with impacts on homes, businesses and farms. High water could remain until rain has ended.
