The Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts will host a beginner-friendly woodburning workshop on Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving participants the opportunity to create a custom decorative light switch cover.
Led by artist Vera Miller, the class will introduce students to basic pyrography, or woodburning, techniques combined with mixed-media painting. See her bio HERE
Participants will design and decorate a single-toggle light switch cover using a woodburning tool and a variety of coloring materials. Pre-made designs will be available, though attendees are welcome to bring their own ideas or patterns.
The workshop is open to ages 16 and older and is suitable for all skill levels, including beginners. All supplies are included in the registration fee, and class size is limited to eight participants.
Completed projects will provide a unique handmade accent for home décor. Last-minute registrations will be accepted if space remains available and the class has not sold out.
