My name is Fatima. I am 17-years old and I am a senior at Walnut Grove High School. I’m really just your average teenager. I’m involved in clubs, like Key Club and Spanish Honor Society. I get good grades. I don’t do sports though. It’s never been my cup of tea. I’m more of a musical-artsy kind of person. I play the violin, cello, and piano. I love to paint, listen to music, and watch movies.

What I am hoping to gain from this journalism program is to be able to get to know more about the community and just to be more in-the-know, you know? I also want to be able to better my photography skills. A single picture has the power to say a thousand words and has the ability to capture fleeting moments for them to last a lifetime. I believe that photography is a very important part of journalism and I would love to be able to express a future article with the help of a photograph.
