Loganville residents will have a chance to celebrate the opening of a new chapter for the O’Kelly Memorial Library when the new facility at 210 Main St. officially opens Saturday, Sept. 19.
The New O’Kelly Memorial Library to celebrate grand opening Saturday, with a ribbon cutting, guest speakers, light refreshments, giveaways and other activities. A Ken Scott Magic Show will follow at noon.
The new library replaces the longtime O’Kelly Memorial Library on Conyers Road and moves the facility into the heart of downtown Loganville. The library is part of the Azalea Regional Library System, which serves communities throughout Walton and surrounding counties.
Fall programs already scheduled
The new library will quickly become a site for community programming. The Walton County Master Gardeners will present a free Fall Garden Talk series beginning Monday, Sept. 21:
- Sept. 21, 2–3 p.m. — Invasive Plants
- Sept. 25, 2–3 p.m. — Fall Vegetable Garden
- Sept. 28, 2–3 p.m. — Made in the Shade
- Oct. 5, 2–3 p.m. — Plants Toxic to Pets & Livestock
- Oct. 19, 2–3 p.m. — Winter Sowing
