Obituary: Isabella ‘Izzy’ Grace Sause, 19, of Loganville

Isabella “Izzy” Grace Sause, 19, passed away on August 30, 2026, from a two plus year battle with cancer.
Izzy was born on March 30, 2007, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Chris and Mandi Sause. She grew up her entire life in Loganville, Georgia, where she attended Loganville High School.

Izzy was enrolled at Georgia College and State University and was pursuing nursing school. As she was battling cancer, she wanted to make a difference in other children’s lives as a nurse to them after having so many great health professionals care for her.

Izzy was an avid soccer player and music enthusiast. Izzy played soccer from 4 years old and was a current player on the Georgia College and State University women’s soccer team alongside her sister and all the teammates she loved. Izzy played club soccer at the ENCL and ECNL RL level at Gwinnett Soccer Association and Atlanta Fire United before college. She was also a starter on the Loganville High School team.

If she wasn’t playing soccer, she would listen to her music as loud as she could in her car or in her room with her friends.

Izzy loved to travel. The beach was her happy place. Whether it be to Orange Beach with her family or Hilton Head with her boyfriend, it was THE getaway for her. It was something about the wind and the sand for her that took her to another place.

Izzy was always the life of the party. She was friends with all different kinds of people. She was always the glue that could put different people in the room, and everyone would suddenly get along. All it took was her smile and laugh and it was so intoxicating no one could think of anything else.

Izzy is survived by her parents, Chris and Mandi Sause, her sister, Savannah Sause, and the many family members, friends and teammates whose lives will forever be changed by knowing her. Izzy’s candle burned out long before her legend ever will.

Izzy’s memorial service honoring her life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Graystone Church in Grayson, GA. The family will receive friends for visitation from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with the memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM. Light food to be provided after the service.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to support Izzy at this time, please contribute to the Claire Marie Foundation. https://clairemariefoundation.org/make-a-donation/ to help cure adolescent and young adult melanoma. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
