Assistant Fire Chief Bill Owens with the Monroe Fire Department said that arson is suspected in a fire Saturday inside the old rock gym at the elementary school on Bold Springs Ave.
“It occurred early Saturday morning (3-18-17). Arriving fire crews found multiple fires at multiple locations within the building,” Owens said. “The fires were extinguished and investigators have concluded that the fire were intentionally set. The incident is still under investigation at this time.”
