Crash involved an overturned vehicle
WALTON COUNTY, GA (MAY 20, 2026) – Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig League reports the two people were injured in a 2-vehicle crash May 20 on Highway 78,
“At 6:15pm units from WCFR responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 78 at Sardis Church Road. One vehicle was overturned upon arrival of fire personnel. All of the occupants were out of the vehicles,” League said. “EMS transported two victims to Piedmont Walton Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.”
League said Highway 78 was shut down at the intersection for a short period of time for the crash investigation and patient care.
