WALTON COUNTY, GA (Feb. 2, 2026) – Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig League reports that Highway 78 EB lanes are closed at Sardis Church Road due to a 2-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck.

“Injuries are reported. Highway 78 EB lanes are closed and deputies are merging the traffic and utilizing the turning lane to route traffic around the crash,” League said “Expect traffic delays for an extended period.”
