City of Loganville honors Civil Air Patrol cadet for earning Mitchell Award

At Thursday’s City Council meeting, the City of Loganville honored Walton County Civil Air Patrol Cadet Curtis Dean Bachelor for earning the esteemed Mitchell Award granted by the Civil Air Patrol.

To earn the Mitchell Award, a cadet has to measure up to a very high standard. In presenting a Proclamation congratulating Bachelor for earning this honor, Loganville Mayor Dan Curry noted that the Award given in the name of General Billy Mitchel has been in existence since 1964. Cadets who receive this award are eligible for advanced placement to Airman First Class should they choose to enter the US Air Force.
