Early voting ends Nov. 3 for Loganville Mayoral and Municipal Elections

Next week is the last week for voters in the City of Loganville to vote early in the 2017 Mayoral and Municipal Elections.  According to Loganville Elections Supervisor Kristi Ash, up until Friday, Oct. 27, 219 Loganville residents had cast early ballots at the Ag Building on Main Street. After Friday, Nov. 3, voters who have not yet cast a ballot will have to do so on Election Day, Nov. 7, 2017 at the Historic Rock Gym on Main Street in Loganville.

Former councilman Rey Martinez will face off against Donna Jones, wife of former mayor, councilman and previous city manager Bill Jones, in the mayoral race. Five candidates qualified for the three at-large seats on the City Council. Incumbent Councilman Danny Ford qualified for re-election and former councilman will face off against former mayor and councilman Mike Jones and political newcomers Anne Coles, Lisa Newberry and Femi Oduwole. The top three vote-getters will earn a seat on the City Council.

Voters got an opportunity to hear from all the candidates at a political forum hosted by the Walton County Chamber of Commerce earlier in the month. City Council candidate Femi Oduwole, however, did not attend. If you missed the forum, you can click or tap on these links to hear from all the other candidates.
