The Evergreen Garden Club of Monroe was established in 1949. In celebration of their 75th Anniversary, the club installed a plaque at the front of the Monroe Museum and Visitor’s Center located in the Historic City Hall building at 227 South Broad Street at the corner of South Broad Street and East Church Street.
Both long-time and new members of the club are pictured with the plaque. The club meets August through May and offers a variety of interesting educational programs, creative activities and camaraderie.
