Gwinnett County is inviting the community to light up the night at the annual Lighting of the Tree on Thursday night!
Since 1987, Gwinnett County has kicked off the holiday season on Thanksgiving night, bringing the community together for a night of joy, entertainment, and dazzling lights. The 40-foot Norway Spruce, from the mountains of North Carolina, has already arrived at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, marking the beginning of its festive preparations. After its installation, County staff began decorating the Great Tree, topping it all off with a brightly lit star.
You’re invited to bring the whole family for live entertainment, kids’ activities, food vendors, photos with Santa, and more! The festivities will take place on the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse lawn, located at 185 West Crogan Street in Lawrenceville on Thursday, November 28 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. As the clock strikes 6:00pm, watch in awe as Santa lights the magnificent Great Tree.
Following the annual Lighting of the Tree event, visitors can stop by the beautifully decorated Gwinnett Historic Courthouse for self-guided tours throughout the holiday season. Don’t miss out on the warmth, joy, and festive spirit at the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
