The Gwinnett County Police announce that they have arrested a juvenile following an investigation into threats made against a victim through online platforms.
Gwinnett County Police Department report that on Jan. 16, 2026, GCPD received information about a victim who reported receiving threatening and harassing messages from a person she met through Roblox.
According to a press release from GCPD, “after the victim ended communication, the juvenile posted the victim’s address online, and began sending threatening messages to her through multiple different online platforms. Detectives also located additional messages where the juvenile discussed killing other women and had a kill list.”
Work with the Gwinnett County Behavioral Health Unit, detectives reportedly made contact with the juvenile, who allegedly admitted to sending the messages and was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
A week later, the juvenile was charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts and transported to RYDC.
“Gwinnett County Police remind the public to use caution when interacting with others through online gaming and social media platforms. Users are encouraged to protect their personal information, avoid sharing addresses or identifying details, and immediately report threatening or concerning behavior to law enforcement. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to monitor online activity and have open conversations with children about online safety,” GCPD PIO Cpl. Angela Carter said in the release.
