
Georgia State Patrol report that Brayden Lewis Clark, 21, of Loganville was arrested and has been charged with several counts, including driving under the influence and homicide by vehicle, in the motor vehicle accident that resulted in the death of Eliza Farrell, 15, of Suwanee. The accident happened in Dawsonville at 9:25 p.m. July 4, 2017 at the intersection of Lumpkin Campground Road and Industrial Park Road in Dawsonville.
Clark is charged with:
- first degree homicide by vehicle,
- two counts of serious injury by vehicle,
- driving under the influence,
- reckless driving,
- possession of open container in vehicle (passenger area)
- marijuana possession
- failure to stop at a stop sign
- tire requirements
Clark is accused of running the stop sign while traveling south on Lumpkin Campground Road in his 2001 Dodge Ram and colliding with a 2006 Acura TSX that was traveling west on Industrial Park Road. A witness reported that the Acura, driving by Xavier Sanchez, 16, stopped at the intersection and was hit by Clark’s vehicle when it proceeded to travel through the intersection. There were three other passengers in the 16-year-old’s vehicle, including the 15-year-old Gwinnett teen who died.
Clark was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and subsequently arrested on his release. Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson said Clark has since bonded out on $40,000 bond.
