Monroe PD Reports: Man released from jail finds home burglarized, woman pepper sprays husband

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between June 23 – 29, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious person Pine Crest Dr. W/m with white hat pretending to pick up trash in the area. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Juvenile report, Pine Park St. Ref to a juvenile on a green dirt bike with no helmet. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Damage to property Union St. Complainant reports overnight damage to her Honda. Damage inconsistent with story.
  • Warrant attempt Tanglewood Dr. Curtis Lee found under a bed and arrested for a warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Request to meet officer on Ridge Rd. Complainant advised she returned home to find her purse which had been taken from her vehicle on a previous date hanging on her door. The purse was soaked and contents wet from rain. Advised her license and SSN card were there but missing wallet.
  • Patient at Great Oaks Retirement Home made threats. Family with healthcare POA advised EMS to leave her on location with onsite medical staff due to Eastside not currently taking new patients.
  • Welfare check Great Oaks Retirement Home. Complainant advised she was trapped inside her room and without clothing. All ok, Complainant Alzheimer patient. Medical staff assisted patient 5 min prior to her calling 911.
  • Animal complaint Colquitt St. Comp was advised to call Animal Control in the morning but still requested area check due to unrestrained and friendly tan and white K9 in the area. All ok.
  • Dispute Sorrells St. Subjects who were arguing broke a glass table. Warrant To Be Taken for Family Violence Simple Battery.
  • Area check East Fambrough St., Hillcrest Village. Ref to b/m on dirt bike in the roadway without a helmet.
  • Follow up Meadow View Dr. Suspect of theft on location. Made contact with female who gave consent to search her residence and vehicle for the sign. Checked Fawnfield Dr. and Toyota Camry with negative contact.
  • Discharging firearms in the area of Marable St. and Turner St. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Theft report, West Spring St., Wendy’s. Ref to internal employee theft.
  • Meet with officer, Victory Dr. (Hulsey Concrete) in regards to passer-by noticed water coming from building. Observed broken water pipe, contacted Monroe Utilities to cut water main off to business.
  • Theft at Etten Dr.  Complainant advised medications were missing and former roommate possibly took them. Report taken.
  • Damage to property, W. Spring St. (Car Wash). Complainant stated his BMW was damaged two days prior by a silver Honda Accord and driver of vehicle 2 provided wrong phone number. Insurance was verified and complainant advised his insurance company would handle incident. No report requested.
  • Suspicious person, W. Spring St. (Oriental Garden) in regards to W/M talking smart and recording staff and  then left in silver Dodge Caliber. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Fireworks complaint on W. Highland Ave. Received numerous calls and residence at W. Highland Ave. advised to stop for the evening. All ok.
  • Welfare check at Sweetgum Dr. in regards to 90-year-old female home alone and possibly needing assistance. Contact made w/ female who fell and could not get up. All ok.
  • Illegal parking at Jack Peters. Driver told to move vehicle or it’s getting towed, vehicle was moved.
  • Fight at Birch St. negative contact on active fight when units arrived. Large crowd in area but all appeared ok.
  • Agency assist in regards to WCSO fleeing vehicle. Vehicle not on location and no movement inside of residence.
  • Prowler East Washington Street, Complainant advised she was awoke by someone banging on her bedroom window.  She suspects it was ex-boyfriend due to ongoing issues with him.
  • Damage to property at Green St., Bag of trash in the roadway. All ok
  • Dispute at Davis St., Verbal dispute with neighbor. One accused another of throwing rocks toward his vehicle. Situation mediated.
  • Hit & Run, South Broad St., Complainant said his vehicle was pushed from behind by a white Honda Civic while stopped at Davis Street and South Broad. No damage, or report requested.
  • Entering Auto report taken at MPD, South Broad St., Complainant reported on 06/24/2017 between hours of 1400 & 1420, someone entered his unlocked vehicle at The Butcher Block.  A weed eater, blower, and medications taken.
  • Request officer at Cloverdale Dr., Tenant had questions about getting out of her lease.  Referred to Walton Magistrate.
  • Unknown at West 5th St., Mother concerned for her son due to methamphetamine use.  She gave a lookout for a black Nissan Maxima with no tag driven by a white female named.
  • Theft at Nowell St., Complainant advised he has been in jail since 04-29-2017. Returned home this date to find his residence burglarized.  Several items taken. No serial numbers. Report taken.
  • Agency Assist at Wheel House Lane, Officer stood by with DFCS while they conducted an investigation.
  • Damage to property report taken at MPD, South Broad St., and complainant advised sometime between 06-24-2017 2300 hours, and 06-26-2017 1100 hours, an unknown subject caused slight damage to her passenger rear door of vehicle.
  • Found property at N. Broad St., Subjects in a dispute over a bicycle that the complainant saw that he believed belongs to his grandson.  The bicycle was never reported stolen, and subject said he found in a ditch by Golden Pantry.
  • Follow up at MPD, South Broad St., Complainant stated she wanted her name off of a report where she was the suspect. Advised of the reasons she was listed as suspect, and cannot remove.
  • Dispute at East Marable St., Subjects in a verbal dispute over finances and John’s drinking problem. Parties separated.
  • Juvenile problem handled at MPD, South Broad St., Mother advised her 15 yoa daughter was throwing items in the vehicle and being disrespectful.  Daughter suffers from bi-polar condition.  Spoke with both parties about available help for the situation.
  • Domestic at Atha St. in reference to parents disputing over child custody.  Mother pepper sprayed father causing him to go temporarily blind.  Warrants to be taken on for Aggravated Battery.
  • Burglary at Meadow Walk Drive.  Complainant advised she came home today to find her back door unlocked and foot prints in her carpet.  She found that two LG TV’s, her HP Laptop, and jewelry box full of jewelry was missing.  No serial numbers are provided at this time.
  • Dispute, South Broad St., complainant advised named female subject walked by and cursed at him.  Situation mediated.
  • Threats, Church St., advised they were at the White House across the street from Jack Peters.  Complainant advised Patrick Marks choked him. No witnesses or physical evidence.  Patrick had active warrants through Gwinnett County for FTA and Snellville PD for Probation Violation.  Patrick was arrested on the warrants and transported to Loganville and turned over to Snellville PD.
  • Found Property at Sorrells St. t and Booth Dr.,   In reference to a bike on the side of the road.  The bike front wheel was damaged.  The serial number did not come back stolen.  Left on the side of the road for the owner to obtain it.
  • Civil Issue, Wall St.,  complainant on location stating he let a named subject use his property and she has not brought it back yet, we could not locate the named subject and he was drunk at the time of making the statements.
  • Assist Citizen at West Highland Ave., mother and her three children were stranded due to vehicle breaking down.  Car seats placed in patrol car and given a ride to Maple Place Town Homes.
  • Domestic on Glen Iris.  In reference to white male and female walking on Glen Iris.  From people on the area people said they got into a vehicle and left the area.
  • Suspicious Person on Glen Iris.  Located four males and one female walking down the street near home on Glen Iris Drive.  Advised they were walking back toward their vehicle.  Subjects checked out ok and sent on their way.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Breedlove and Alcovy, stated a Ford Bronco was driving around their house.  Negative contact with any Broncos in the area.
  • Disturbing the Peace, East Fambrough Street in reference to loud music.  Complainant advised neighbor was playing loud music since 0100.  Negative contact with the neighbor and no loud music was heard.  Advised complainant to contact police if it happens again.
  • Civil Dispute, Wall St., male subject who possibly has medical problems and female subject disputing over property. Situation mediated.  All ok.
  • Welfare Check, Country Club Dr., mother lives in North Carolina.  She hasn’t spoke to her 10 yr old son in 30 days.  Her son lives with his father and his stepmom.  Contact was made with stepmom and stated the son is ok and out with his father.  Advised mother by telephone of my findings.
  • Juvenile Complaint, West 5th Street.  In reference to juvenile at this location.  Multiple attempts were made to contact someone at the house but negative contact was made.
  • Missing Person, West Fifth St., and complainant stated her husband has been missing for 24 hrs.  Complainant stated her husband has health issues and she hasn’t heard from him.  Her husband left after a dispute on the previous date and has not contacted her.  Husband was placed on GCIC due to his health issues and not having any medication.
