Denise Van Balen will host a “Watercolor for Beginners” class on Tuesday, May 19, from 1 to 3 p.m., offering adults a relaxed introduction to watercolor painting. Read her bio HERE.
The beginner-friendly class will cover basic watercolor techniques including controlling water, layering color, and using white space. Participants will create and take home a finished piece of artwork by the end of the session.
The cost is $35, and class size is limited to 10 participants. Attendees may bring their own supplies, though materials will also be available through the instructor if needed. Registration is requested by May 18, with walk-ins accepted if space remains available.
If you have you always wanted to try watercolor but felt a little intimidated, you are invited to come join the fun and discover how approachable (and relaxing!) it really is. You’ll learn simple techniques like controlling water, layering color, and using white space to create something beautiful.
By the end of class, you’ll head home with your own finished piece of art—and a whole new confidence to keep going.

Supplies: Bring your own supplies if you have them otherwise Denise will have everything you’ll need.
