More than 300 receive degrees at Piedmont University Spring Commencement

DEMOREST, GA (05/12/2026)– On Friday, May 8, in two ceremonies, Piedmont University conferred undergraduate degrees to 202 students, including 79 first-generation students, and 105 graduate students, including masters, EdS, and doctorate degrees. The ceremonies were held at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center on the Demorest campus.

Graduates included: 

• Payton Canaday of Loganville, GA, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 
• Aubrey Garrett of Social Circle, GA, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 
• Nicholas Griffin of Loganville, GA, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 
• Chelsea Jordan of Monroe, GA, who earned a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology. 
• Taylor Kincaid of Good Hope, GA, who earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education. 
• Brittney Moon of Good Hope, GA, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (Para to Teacher). 
• Emma Scroggs of Monroe, GA, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. 
• Jesse Smedley of Good Hope, GA, who earned a 4+1 Speech Lang Pathology M.S. & Comm Sciences Disorders B.S. 
• Hailey Stein of Loganville, GA, who earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education. 
• Aniya Stewart of Loganville, GA, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
