MPD Reports: Ongoing problem with loud music; unconscious and unresponsive subject transported by EMS; suicidal thoughts

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 24 – 30, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Follow Up – Atha Street – In reference to clearing the residence, attempting to locate vagrants who are not allowed on/inside the property. Residence was cleared, with negative contact.
• Suspicious Vehicle – South Madison Avenue / Felker Park – In reference to two subjects located in the park after hours inside a vehicle. The individuals advised that they were Door Dashing and the app had directed them into the park. It was shown that the app misled the individuals; they were then advised of loitering laws and sent on their way.
• Loud Music – Applewood Dr & Gatewood Dr – Residents were asked to lower volume of music and advised of noise ordinance.
• Mechanical Breakdown – Unisia Drive – In reference to a vehicle, off in a turning lane, with its hazards on. Contact was made with the driver who advised that the vehicle’s gasoline tank was depleted, and her husband was actively obtaining gasoline. All okay.
• Loud Music – Tanglewood Drive – In reference to the complainant advising of loud music. Contact was made with subject who was hosting a party with loud speakers. Officers have been out to this address on several occasions and a citation was issued for noise ordinance.
• Residential Alarm – Westridge Ave – In reference to a residential alarm. Negative contact on location.
• Suspicious Vehicle – All Star – In reference to subject on location for over an hour. Search of her vehicle led to marijuana being located. Subject was cited for possession of marijuana.
• Prowler – Springer Lane – In reference to the residence at the listed address
• Welfare Check – Pine Park St – In reference to complainant requesting a welfare check on juveniles. Spoke with subjects- all 10-4.
• Unconscious Male – Med unit transported a subject due to unconscious & unresponsive.
• Alarm – Masters Dr – Cancelled by Alarm Company prior to officer arrival.
• Fire Assist – Baron Dr – In reference to grease fire: turned over to Fire.
• Follow Up – Walker Drive – In reference to clearing a residence per court order for the residence to be demolished. Residence was clear.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Alcovy St – In reference to a red truck following the complainant and honking the horn at her for an extended period of time. Area checked, negative contact.
• Debris – HWY 78 & Charlotte Rowell Blvd; Exit – negative contact area checked.
• Fraud – Kelton Rd – In reference to multiple large transactions.
• Dispute – Pine Park St – In reference to previous call. Next of kin for complainant was on location attempting to collect his belongings. Situation mediated, remedies advised.
• Area/Welfare Check – Green St- Reference to locating a trucking company unable to make contact since picking up a load of go kart chassis, contact with truck on Edmondson. County made contact with them, all ok.
• Vehicle Lockout – Kendall Ct: vehicle unlocked no damages.
• Suspicious Vehicle – MLK BLVD; Tractor Supply – In reference to individuals on location riding a dirtbike. Contact made with four males and the dirtbike. Males were sent on their way, all okay.
• Accident – N Broad St- Private property accident. Trooper handled the wreck.
• Theft Report – Springer Lane – In reference to someone stealing complainant’s cell phone. She does not know who could have stolen it but believes it to be a woman she named.
• Theft Report – Forest St – In reference to a subject wanting a police report for missing medication.
• Harassment – N Broad St- Reference to being harassed by subject. Subject is accusing them of taking items from her house. They were advised it would be best if they stayed away from the residence and subject
• Vehicle Unlock – W Fambrough St – Vehicle unlocked, no damage.
• Suspicious Person – West Spring Street – In reference to a male running in the parking lotwearing a gas mask. An associate contacted dispatch and advised he was a child of a customer and all appeared ok.
• Found Property – W Spring St. – In reference to a woman dropping off a container that was
• sketchy. Container and protein edibles were disposed of.
• Assault – 140 Blaine Street – In reference to the complainant being sexually assaulted on 4/24/26.
• Suicide Threats – Placa Tr & Plaza Court – In reference to subject telling his sister he wanted to jump off the Highway 78 Bridge. Subject was located did not state he wished to hurt himself just went for a walk. Subject left.
• Civil Issue – In reference to a civil issue between the complainant and his ex-girlfriend. Remedies advised.
• Scam – 140 Blaine St – Elderly woman received telephone scam and purchased gift cards totaling $900. Granddaughter was told about it and told her it was a scam but she did not believe her.
• Granddaughter rushed to Monroe PD for help. This occurred in Morgan County and I advised her to make a report with Morgan County S.O. I then called the grandmother and explained it was a scam and verified that she had not given them the numbers on the gift cards.
• Alarm – E Spring St; Walton County BOC – All doors and windows secured.
• Other Law – Nowell St – Officers stood by while the subject grabbed items.
• Area Check – Downtown on Foot – All ok.
• Alarm – E Spring St; Walton County BOC – Business checked on foot, all appeared ok.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Brookhaven Dr / Westmoreland Dr – 4 dirt bikes traveling at a high rate of speed in the area. Unable to locate along with WCSO.
• Welfare Check – E Church St – All ok.Juvenile Problem – Aycock Ave – In reference to complainant reporting her 15-year-old daughter as a runaway. A BOLO was put out to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, as well as juvenile being added to GCIC/NCIC as a runaway. Complainant later called and advised that juvenile had returned home. She was then removed from GCIC/NCIC and the BOLO was cleared. Report taken.
• Civil Dispute – 140 Blaine St – Complainant advised her mother has been taking her children to spend time with the father behind her back. They are divorced and the mother has sole custody. Children stated the father puts on movies and the kids have been reenacting them. Report taken and forwarded to CID.
• 911 Hang-Up – W Creek Cir – Contact was made with the resident; she advised that all was ok.
• Traffic Light – MLK BLVD & W Spring St – In reference to all four lights flashing red, DOT notified.
• Alarm – MLK BLVD; Longhorns – All door secured, all okay.
• Fire Assist – Poplar St. – In reference to lightning striking a home, damaging the dishwasher. Turned over to Fire Department.
• Alarm – E Washington St; Synovus – All okay on location.
• Unsecure Premise – Tyler Street – Church was cleared. All ok.
• Alarm – S Broad St; Trading Place – Employees on location, all okay.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 78 WB & Unisia Dr. – In reference to a white van speeding and failing to maintain lane. Negative contact.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 78 WB – In reference to a white truck unable to maintain lane. Contact was made with the driver who advised he had a pinched nerve bothering him. All appeared okay otherwise.
• Accident – Great Oaks Dr- Single vehicle went into ditch. No damage to complainant vehicle.
• Welfare Check – MLK BLVD; Tractor Supply – In reference to subject possibly making suicidal threats. Subject denied these threats to officers. He was provided different resources for getting help if he chose too.
• Warrant Attempt – S Madison Ave – In reference to Gwendolyn Lee having a probation violation warrant. Ms. Lee was placed under arrest and transported to WCSO without issue.
• Theft report – W Spring – In reference to complainant initiating theft reports for two cases that he is working for Home Depot AP office. Report taken.
• Missing Person – N Hubbard St. – In reference to complainant reporting her elderly father had left the residence shortly prior and that she could not find him. He was located a short distance away. He expressed suicidal ideations and was ultimately transported to Piedmont Walton under a 1013 order.
• Harassment Report – Maple Ln: In reference to subject running complainant off the roadway. Negative contact with subject. Report taken.
• Dispute – Tanglewood Dr – Verbal dispute over a statement about subject’s child. Situation mediated.
• Threats – Edwards St – In reference to someone calling complainant and stating that his number was posted on Reddit. A text message stating “we are coming for you”. Report taken.
• Suspicious Person – E Spring/Dairy Queen – In reference to a male in a hoodie walking in the middle of the roadway. Area checked negative contact
• Dispute – E Spring St; Popeye’s – Customer complained about her order being incorrect. She and the manager got into an argument, and the manager threw food past her towards the trash can. Both parties advised on remedies. Report taken.
• Suspicious Vehicle – S Broad St – In reference to complainant advised that two teenage individuals driving a red pickup truck were driving by her, barking at her infant daughter, and cussing at her. Due to no tag information, the vehicle was not located. The complainant called again, advising that she was hiding behind a trash can due to the vehicle coming back and barking at her again. Complainant was advised to walk back to her vehicle to avoid further incidents.
