The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 17 – 23, 2025. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Civil Issue – Tall Oaks E.- In reference to a verbal dispute between two subjects over a wallet, situation mediated and remedies advised.
- Prowler – Belle Meade – In reference to subject hearing noises outside of her residence. The property was checked on foot. All appeared ok.
- Dispute – N Broad St. – Quality Inn – In reference to a phone call to return for complainant. He advised that his Yeti cooler and jacket were lost or stolen at the UGA game, and he was assaulted at the Quality Inn by subject due to confronting him about the items. Report taken.
- 911 Hang up – Turner St – In reference to subject calling 911 stating his uncle was putting spells on him. Subject denied needing medical attention and denied wishing to speak to someone at the hospital or Advantage. Subject was advised of Georgia’s law against misuse of 911. All okay.
- . 911 Hang-up – Davis St – Static on the line. All OK.
- Civil Issue – East Fambrough Street – Mail box damaged, contact made with both parties. Subjects agreed to handle situation civilly.
- Traffic Stop – Hwy 78 and Aycock Ave – Male subject was arrested for possession of Schedule II (MDMA) following a traffic stop. Transported to the WC Jail without incident.
- Child Custody – 140 Blaine St. – In reference to complainant upset that her grandchildren had not been brought to the Police Department to be picked up at 1000 hours. The father was spoken with over the phone, along with another subject. The two were returning from the Atlanta airport and were able to bring the children shortly after. Remedies advised.
- Other Law – S Madison Ave – MFD Station 1 – In reference to a subject using his fists to damage subject’s vehicle while she had stopped at the nearby intersection. He was placed under arrest for Criminal Damage to Property (2nd) and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
- Abuse – W Spring St Peachtree Urgent Care – In reference to an alleged child abuse. Report taken.
- Extra Patrol – Request Tall Oaks West from 0500-0800 in reference to an unknown person knocking on doors in the area. Has been occurring for a couple weeks.
- Dispute – New Lacy St – In reference to complainant disputing with boyfriend, complainant advised of the eviction process.
- Mechanical Breakdown – West Spring Street – In reference to vehicle needing a jump. Vehicle started. All ok.
- Suspicious Person – Report of a female asleep in a white dodge journey at the pumps. Subject arrested outstanding warrant-Hall County.
- Suspicious Person – Wayne St; Spring St – In reference to a man sitting in an abandoned shed. Subject was provided a meal, advised of remedies and loitering laws, and sent on his way.
- Shoplifting – West Spring Street – Subject was taken into custody in reference to shoplifting $116.71 worth of merchandise. Released on a copy of the citation.
- Firearms – East Marable Street – Complainant advised that they heard two gunshots and people screaming. It was determined to be a gender reveal and poppers were used. All ok.
- Foot Patrol – E Spring St; City Market. Business was checked on foot. All appeared ok on location.
- Foot Patrol – Downtown – Foot patrol was conducted in the Historic Downtown. All was ok.
