MPD Reports: Sisters sparing; juveniles misbehaving and other domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 24 – 30, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Suspicious Vehicle – West Spring Street / Murphy’s USA – In reference to two subjects parked/loitering at Murphy’s USA Gas Station after hours. Both individuals were advised of the loitering laws, and sent on their way.
• Mental Patient – Heritage Ridge Ct – In reference to the complainant requesting information and remedies for mental health resources on her 17-year-old son. Complainant was provided resources and remedies.
• Business Alarm – West Spring Street / Acadamy Lock and Key – In reference to an activated warehouse alarm at the listed establishment. All doors and windows were secure. The key holder was advised per dispatch. All appeared okay.
• Assault Law – E Church Street – In reference to complainant reporting she was assaulted by her sister. Due to no visible injuries being seen, no witnesses and not having access to security cameras, a report was taken and a case card was given.
• 5K Run – E Church St; Monroe County Day School.
• Alarm – Felker St – In reference to window activation. All okay on location, accidental activation by resident.
• Traffic Escort – Hwy 11 / Hwy 78 – In reference to a funeral escort/motorcade from Quality Inn onto Hwy 78 West bound.
• Residential Alarm – Stone Creek Lane. Call cleared by alarm company.
• Area Check – Sorrells Street – Building was cleared. The homeowner advised no subjects should be on location besides a male that does the yard work.
• Loud Music – E Church St. – Area checked, negative contact made.
• Crash Detection – Carwood Drive – Call canceled prior to officer’s arrival. Parties advised all was ok, phone fell from a vehicle causing the notification.
• Vehicle Accident – West Spring St / Plaza Drive – In reference to a two vehicle accident with complaint of injury. GEARS report.
• Assault – W Spring St (Piedmont Walton)- Subject was arrested for assaulting an EMS worker at the hospital and damaging hospital property. Warrants obtained for Battery and Criminal Trespass.
• Loud music – E Church St. – Area checked, negative contact with any loud music.
• Welfare Check – East Spring St / Taylor’s Wrecker Service – In reference to a welfare check on a female last known to be at this location. Negative contact.
• Civil Issue – Atha St. – In reference to complainant wanting to report her sister taking her bedroom door off the frame.
• Vehicle unlock – Amici’s – The complainant left a car door unlocked, no action taken.
• Traffic Stop/ Arrest – E Spring St; Dollar General- Vehicle stopped for traffic violation. Subject was arrested for a probation warrant out of Oconee County, GA. He was taken to Walton County Sheriff’s Office jail without incident.
• Dispute – Hubbard St. – In reference to subject and her sister arguing over taking care of their elderly father. Remedies were advised.V
• ehicle Accident – Charlotte Rowell / Hwy 78- Two vehicle crash with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Vehicle Unlock – Perry St – In reference to a Honda Accord. Vehicle Unlocked, no damage.
• Suspicious Person/ Arrest – Lacy Street – In reference to officer observing a named subject in the area with an active probation violation warrant out of the WCSO. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail without incident. Report completed.
• Mental Patient – Douglas St – In reference to a male requesting to go to the hospital for mental health. Male was ETOH, turned over to EMS without incident.
• Suspicious Person – West Spring Street, Taco Bell- In reference to subject on location requesting the staff to provide him payment due to him being a “share holder” for Taco Bell. Management requested him to be criminally trespassed. Subject was barred from the establishment for a period of two years and sent on his way.
• Vehicle Breakdown – Hwy 78 & Hwy 11 – In reference to the complainant advising her tire was flat. Complainant tire was changed and she was sent on her way.
• Private Property Crash – Pavilion Pkwy; Five Below- Two vehicle private property crash with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Assault – Ridgeview: Physical altercation between patients. Report taken.
• Dispute – 6th Street- In reference to a named subject calling law enforcement due to him disputing with his parents over a vehicle. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the vehicle did not belong to him. He refused to leave the residence multiple times when instructed to. He was placed under arrest and turned over to the WCSO.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Tall Oaks W – In reference to a Silverado speeding in the neighborhood. Negative contact on location.
• Juvenile Complaint – Aycock Ave The Jax – In reference to a named subject stating that her son purchased fifty dollars’ worth of items on her credit card. Her son returns to military school tomorrow. Report taken.
• Vehicle Unlock – E Washington St – In reference to a vehicle unlock. The vehicle was unable to be unlocked due to mechanical issues. The driver’s brother is giving him a ride home.
• Trespassing – West Spring Street, Taco Bell- In reference to the same subject was back on location after being barred from the restaurant during the previous call. He was placed under arrest and turned over to the WCSO without incident.
• Dispute – Will Henry’s – In reference to subject on location, heavily intoxicated, underage, inciting physical altercations. Subject was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Battery, Public Intoxication, Possession of Nicotine under The Age of 21, and Possession of Alcohol Under The Age of 21. Report taken.
• Civil Issue – Nowell St: In reference to child custody. Remedies advised.
• Loud Music – Landers St – In reference to loud music. No loud music was heard on location.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Mathews Park: In reference to four subjects at the listed location, loitering. Park rules / loitering laws were explained, and the individuals were sent on their way.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Matthews Park – While finishing a call, another vehicle was observed on location. Occupants were sent on their way.
• Dispute – Wheel House Lane- In reference to a dispute called in by a third party complainant. The dispute was between complainant and her ex-girlfriend. Ex was gone when officers arrived and complainant was not very cooperative and did not wish to take any legal action against ex. Civil remedies were advised.
• Loitering – Chestnut Cupboard – In reference to a male wearing all black, loitering in the store. The individual was gone when officers arrived.
• Loud Music – Magnolia Terrace – In reference to loud music being played in the vicinity of Magnolia Terrace. No loud music was heard upon arrival.
• MVC – Carwood Dr – Single vehicle collision with a tree. Driver fled the scene. Warrants taken and GEARS report completed.
• Vehicle Accident – Unisia Drive – Walmart Dist. Center; In reference to a two-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Mental Person – Piedmont Walton -In reference to an autistic patient walking out of the hospital. Contact was made with her in the Arbys parking lot. She was then transported back to her group care facility located on Wheel House Lane.
• Unknown Law – N Broad St; Matson Food Mart – In reference to the complainant advising that she was assaulted by an acquaintance. Video footage was observed showing subject actively striking complainant inside the vehicle, then attempting to pull her out of the vehicle. Complainant sustained several lacerations to her face and swelling under her right eye. Subject fled from the scene, and a bolo was given for his vehicle. Complainant was cleared by EMS, and warrants will be secured on subject for Battery, DOC, and Kidnapping.
• Suspicious Vehicles – Masters Drive, Palmer Court- In reference to roughly 20 vehicles in the roadway, due to a house party, causing a disturbance. The vehicles were dispersed upon officer’s arrival.
• Other Law – Southside Park – In reference to complainant reporting an unknown female smoking a cigarette under a streetlight overnight near his residence. Complainant requested extra patrol overnight. Remedies were provided to complainant.
• Suspicious Person – Highway 11 at Highway 78 Bridge – In reference to an officer observing a male sitting on the Highway 11 Bridge who appeared emotionally distraught. After speaking with the seventeen-year-old male, he was transported to Piedmont Walton Hospital for an involuntary 10-13. Parents were notified, and the Walton County Mental Health Task Force survey was completed. Report taken.
• Suspicious Person – Landers St. – In reference to a male with a net possibly trying to get into a residence. Contact was made with a Skydive Monroe employee who was attempting to get a failed parachute from a tree. All ok.
• Dispute – White Oak Drive – In reference to a verbal dispute between two subjects over parking at their residence. The dispute was mediated prior to Officers arrival and the complainant no longer needed law enforcement assistance.
• Accident – N Madison Ave / E Marable Street – Two vehicle accident w/o injuries. See Gears.
• Other Law – Oak Ridge – In reference to complainant reporting that her roommate accused her of stealing her mother’s pain medication. Complainant requested that a report be made. Report completed.
• Illegal Parking – Pavilion Pkwy / Hibbett Sports – In reference to a vehicle blocking two handicap parking spots with no placard. Citation issued, vehicle removed by owner.
• Vehicle unlock – E Fambrough St – Vehicle unlocked without damage.
• Dispute – Tanglewood Drive – Verbal dispute over trash in the yard. Remedies advised.
• TPO Violation – Alcovy Street – In reference to subject contacting the complainant and leaving a voicemail demanding a return call. It was determined that no TPO was in place, only a notice of prohibited entry. The complainant was advised of the civil process. Extra patrol was requested.
• Suspicious Person – South Broad Street at Walker Street – In reference to a complainant reporting a female walking in and out of traffic. Upon officer arrival, no pedestrians were observed in the roadway. All appeared okay.
• Damage to Property – West Spring St / Walmart – In reference to a vehicle damaged while parked in the parking lot. Report taken.
• Business Alarm – South Broad Street; Trading Place – In reference to interior motion. All appeared okay on location.
• Assault – Thompson Ridge Dr. – In reference to two subjects physically assaulting another subject on location over a theft that occurred at the residence. All parties declined to press charges and all parties were given and signed a Monroe Police Department non-prosecution waiver. Report taken.
• Unknown Law – 6th St. – In reference to two subjects getting into a verbal altercation over property after breaking up. Both parties retrieved some belongings and one subject agreed to leave for the day. Civil remedies were advised.
• Damage to Property – West Spring Street, Little Caesars- In reference to subject sideswiping complaint’s vehicle in the parking lot. Minor damage, report taken.
• Suspicious Vehicle – HWY 138 and W Spring St – In reference to an Acura failing to maintain lane. Negative contact on location.
• Vehicle Accident – South Madison Avenue: Two-vehicle accident. See the GEARS report.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Baron Dr & Gliding Ln – In reference to the complainant advising of a Dodge Charger speeding and driving recklessly down the street. Contact was made with the owner of a Dodge Charger that was in the area. He advised that he has been parked for the past hour and stated there are multiple Chargers in the area. Due to the lack of evidence and forthcoming witnesses an arrest was not made. Extra patrol will be provided in the area.
• Unknown – South Broad Dollar General – In reference to subject on location bleeding heavily from a laceration to the hand. Bleeding was controlled by units on scene and subject was turned over to EMS for transport.
