MPD Reports: Slew of entering autos in neighborhood off Ammons Bridge Road; juvenile runaway located with Find My Phone app

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 5 – 12, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into three parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Loud Music – E Church Street – Reference to loud music in the area. Area check conducted.
• Suspicious Person – S Madison / – In reference to a passerby reporting an individual who appeared to be intoxicated. Contact was made with a person matching the description at E Spring, where no signs of intoxication were observed. Though subject appeared to have mental impairments, remedies were advised, and she was sent on her way. okay.
• Suspicious Person – AllStar Gas / HWY 11 N – In reference to a suspicious male outside the All Star Gas Station. Contact was with subject, who was informed he needed to leave per request of the store clerk. Subject left without incident.
• Welfare Check – Ash St – Complainant requested a welfare check on her mother who wasn’t answering calls and may be a victim of domestic violence. Upon arrival, units made contact with subject, who advised that she was okay. No apparent signs of physical abuse observed.
• Suspicious Person – West Spring Street, Piedmont Walton- In reference to subject not leaving the hospital after he was discharged due to him “not having anywhere to go”. Contact was made with his son who advised that he was on the way to pick him up. Subject was told to sit on the bench outside and wait for him, which he did.
• Mechanical Breakdown – N Madison / Brown Oil – In reference to a vehicle in the roadway with flashing hazard lights. The driver advised that his vehicle’s transmission had become defective, and he was calling a towing service himself. All OK.
• Assist Motorist – Pine Park – Vehicle unlocked with no new damage.
• Theft Report – E Washington – In reference to subject stating an unknown individual stole her Humana card while they were drinking at the listed residence. Subject stated it was in previous days, though she could not provide a specific date. Subject also could not provide the individual’s name, address, or describe his characteristics. Subject could not provide any viable information about the incident, so remedies were advised, and she was given a case card.
• Warrant Service – Custom Way- In reference to locating a named subject who had multiple warrants for his arrest. He was located in the residence. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
• Loitering – Chestnut Cupboard / 1135 E Church St – In reference to a group of individuals loitering in front of the store. The manager of the store stated that he wanted them to leave. Loitering laws were explained and the subjects left the gas station.
• 911 Hang-up – West Spring Street- In reference to a named subject calling in reference to him hearing someone yell his name from a passing vehicle.
• Entering Auto – Tigers Way- In reference to a Chevrolet Tahoe parked in the driveway with its driver side door ajar and multiple items hanging out of it. Contact was made with the homeowner who confirmed the vehicle being broken into. Report taken, CID notified by supervisor. Area checks were conducted where the following entering auto crimes were discovered.
• Entering Auto – Masters Dr. – In reference to a 4Runner parked in the driveway with two open doors. Contact was made with the registered owner who confirmed the vehicle was broken into. No items of value were taken. CID was notified by the supervisor. Report taken.
• Entering Auto – Lopez Ln. – In reference to a Pathfinder parked in the driveway located with an open driver side door. Contact was made with the registered owner who confirmed the vehicle was broken into. A Northside Gwinnett Hospital badge and air freshener were taken from the vehicle. CID was notified by the supervisor. Report taken.
• Entering Auto – Lopez Ln. – In reference to a Ford Explorer parked in the driveway located with an unlocked door. Contact was made with the registered owner who confirmed the vehicle was broken into, A portable charger, receipts and possibly a garage door opener was stolen. Report taken.
• Entering Auto – Lopez Ln. – In reference to a Nissan Titan and grey Toyota Corolla parked in the driveway located with an unlocked door. Contact was made with the registered owner who confirmed the vehicle was broken into. The bill of sale, 5 knives, vehicle registration, and glasses were stolen. Report Taken.
• Entering Auto – Masters Dr. – In reference to a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the driveway with an open drive side door. Contact was made with the registered owner who confirmed the vehicle was broken into and an iPhone 17 cell phone was taken. No other items of value were reported missing. CID was notified by the supervisor. Report taken.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Masters Drive- In reference to a Dodge Charger with its front left door left open. Contact was attempted at the front door of the residence. Dispatch also attempted to call the registered owner also with no luck. The vehicle door was shut and a voicemail was left by dispatch.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Great Oaks Dr – In reference to patrolling the area due to the recent entering autos. Upon arrival, an unlocked vehicle door was located, and an adult male sleeping inside. Contact was made with the vehicle owner. All OK.
• Private Property Accident – W. Spring St; Piedmont Walton – Two vehicle private property accident. Report completed in GEARS.
• Road Rage – W Spring St; Walmart – In reference to a named subject advised an unknown male subject attempted to run him off the roadway, and followed him to Walmart. He advised the unknown male confronted him at the business and left prior to Officers arrival. The complainant was advised of remedies.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Ridge Rd – In reference to a vehicle on location, in the handicap parking space, for an extended period of time. It was a resident waiting on her daughter. All ok.
• Other Law – Store House Ct – Complainant calling due to his mother not letting him back inside the residence after an argument on Sunday. She allowed Complainant back inside and was advised of the eviction process.
• Suspicious Vehicle – S Broad St; Southside MHP – Complainant stated a white dirt bike was being driven on the roadways. I located the dirt bike parked outside lot 230. I spoke with the juvenile rider and his father. They were advised that it is illegal to operate it on a roadway and if MPD sees it being operated on the roadway the bike will be impounded and citations written.
• Fraud – E. Fambrough St. – Caller reporting fraudulent banking activity, incident occurred while the complainant lived in Douglas County. They were advised to contact Douglas County to file a report.
• Dispute – E Washington St – In reference to a named subject wanting another to leave the residence after a verbal dispute. She left the residence on her own accord. All okay.
• Hit and Run – Alcovy St – Complainant advised her vehicle was struck while parked on Alcovy St. The suspect vehicle was still on scene, but the driver left. The driver was described as a b/f wearing black with a bonnet on her head. The suspect vehicle was impounded by Taylor’s wrecker. GEARS report completed.
• Run-Away Juvenile – Bakers St – In reference to juvenile leaving the residence in an Uber, stating that she was going to an address on Glen Iris. The mother of the juvenile went to the address she gave, but there is no such address. The sister of the juvenile tracked the phone by Find My iPhone. The phone was showing her to be at an address in Dallas, Georgia. Contact was made with Paulding County to make contact at this address. Contact was made with the juvenile by the Paulding County Dept., They were advised that she was a runaway juvenile. Paulding County agreed to sit with the juvenile till Mother arrived to take custody.
• Traffic Stop – S Broad St / Alcovy St – Located the hit and run driver from previous call. She was arrested and charged with failure to maintain lane and hit and run. She was taken to the jail where she was released to deputies. Report completed.
• Vehicle Crash – W Spring St / Breedlove Dr – Two vehicles, minor damage, no injuries. GEARS report.
• Fire Assist – S Hammond Dr / E Church St – In reference to a vehicle smoking in the roadway, the vehicle was simply overheated and was towed by Taylor’s.
• Dispute – E Washington St. – Dispute between two subjects, insufficient probable cause to make an arrest. Situation mediated. Report taken.
• Dispute – Pine Park St. – In reference to a verbal dispute between two subjects. There were allegations that the male made threats to harm the female. There was no evidence to support the claim. While on location, it was discovered that male had an active parole warrant. He was placed under arrest on the warrant and transported to the Walton Co. Jail. Report taken.
