MPD Reports: Suicidal subject jumps out of ambulance en route to hospital; multiple vehicles leave following chain reaction rear-end collisions

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 5 – 12, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into three parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle – W Spring St; Walmart – In reference to two juvenile females alleging that their property was taken by a group of male juveniles. Upon officer arrival, the complainant advised she retrieved her property and no longer needed assistance.
  • Dispute – W Spring St; Walmart – In reference to a customer observing a male and female arguing in the parking lot of Walmart before sprinting inside the store. Contact was made with the subjects inside the store and they were identified. The female showed a valid warrant out of Jasper County for Probation violation. She was taken into custody for the warrant and charged with Disorderly conduct and Obstruction of an Officer. She was fingerprinted at the Monroe Police Department and then turned over to Deputies at the Walton County Jail.
  • Accident – W. Spring St; Pizza Hut – 2 vehicle private property accident. GEARS report.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Windsor Dr – Complainant advised his 16-year-old son would not get into the car after an argument. The juvenile got into the car and they left the scene.
  • Intoxicated Subject – N Broad / GW Carver Dr – In reference to a named subject from previous call who had fallen in the roadway while heavily intoxicated. He was given citations for Public Drunkenness and Pedestrian in the roadway. He was turned over to EMS personnel to be transported to the hospital in lieu of jail.
  • Courtesy Ride – W Spring St; Piedmont Walton – Courtesy ride to an elderly female to Great Oaks Senior Living Center.
  • Suicide Threats – Breedlove Dr; Ridgeview – In reference to a subject telling Private EMS personal that he wished to harm himself and felt depressed. Subject advised he wanted help and wished to speak with someone. He was given a ride to Piedmont Walton to receive help.
  • Dispute – Pine Park St – In reference to a possible dispute in the area, contact was made with multiple subjects outside of Apt N; Parties separated and sent on their way.
  • 911 Hang-up – Turner St- Contact made with home owner, who advised all was ok .
  • Motor Vehicle Accident – Vine St & Alcovy- Prior to arrival parties decided not to file a report. Call Canceled.
  • Vehicle Unlock – W Spring St.; Walmart – Vehicle unlocked without damage.
  • Mental Subject – Millstone Bluff – In reference to complainant’s son having a mental episode. Son did not want to be evaluated. Parties advised to stay separated and not interact with each other
  • Dispute – Turner St. – In reference to a dispute over bringing groceries inside. No crime was committed and the situation was mediated.
  • Private Property Accident – S. Broad St- In reference to a an accident happening in the parking lot
  • Dispute – Rose Ison Terr. – In reference to a subject knocking another’s phone out of her hand during a dispute. A warrant is to be taken for Simple Battery. It was discovered that the witness had active warrants for failure to appear out of Gwinnett and Morgan Counties. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Assault – Knight St- In reference to an assault that occurred at Jack Peters. The complainant could not advise of any description of the suspect. Video footage reviewed, Unable to see area assault occurred.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Radford St – In reference to a black vehicle knocking over a trash can. No property was damaged. Negative contact with vehicle.
  • Hit-and-Run – Hwy 138 @ Zaxby’s – In reference to multiple rear-end collisions involving an unknown number of vehicles. All but two vehicles left the scene prior to Officer Arrival. Descriptions/tags of the other vehicles could not be provided. GEARS report.
  • Theft Report – E Marable St – In reference to a scooter possibly being taken from the bed of complainants truck at McDonalds, Video footage from McDonalds showed the truck entering and leaving without scooter in the bed
  • Lockout – Towler St: Vehicle unlocked with no damage.
  • Crash Detection – Hwy 78 WB / Hwy 138 Ramp – In reference to an iPhone crash detection. The area was checked with negative contact.
  • Entering Autos – E Church St; Amici – In reference to 5 male subjects dressed in all black entering 3 vehicles on location and were gone when officers arrived, reports taken.
  • Dispute – Marable Ln – In reference to subjects arguing during the Super Bowl. One subject agreed to walk to his house without incident.
  • Agency Assist – Breedlove Dr / McDaniel St – In reference to a suicidal patient jumping out of the ambulance while en route to Piedmont Walton. Officers assisted EMS getting the subject back to the ambulance. Turned over to EMS.
  • Civil Issue – Doulgas St – Complainant stated a male was inside her mobile home that should not be there. Complainant owns the trailer but does not live there. Complainant’s daughter, lives there and stated the male is the father of her ex-boyfriend. Daughter stated male does not live there but would come stay every now and again when the ex-boyfriend would stay. The ex- boyfriend has an active D.V. warrant and is no longer welcome at the trailer. Male could not prove that he had established residency and was taken to a hotel. Report completed
  • Dispute – Davis St – Two subjects disputing over a phone, situation mediated.
  • Mechanical Breakdown – US-78 Walton Truck Stop – In reference to an individual needing a jump start on their Penske box truck.
  • Suspicious Person – W Spring St at Allen Electric – Subject on location needing a ride to the courthouse. Courtesy ride provided.
  • Traffic Light – South Broad St / East Spring St – In reference to a traffic light not functioning properly. The traffic light was functioning properly upon arrival.
  • Sexual Assault – Georgia Ave: DFACS – In reference to reports of a sexual assault of a 15 year old female that occurred around Christmas Break. Report taken, CID Notified.
  • Agency Assist – Hwy 78 / Unisia – In reference to assisting Walton County Sheriff’s Office with a funeral escort. Escort completed.
  • Wanted Person – Radford Street – In reference to locating a named subject on location with an active Failure To Appear Warrant out of Walton County. He was arrested and transported to WCSO Jail without incident.
  • Suspicious vehicle – Highway 78 / Unisia Drive – Negative contact with any motorcycles speeding.
  • Wanted Person – South Madison Ave / Quickpick Food Mart; In reference to a named subject on location with an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and turned over to WCSO Jail staff.
  • Dispute – East Spring St @ Taylors – In reference to a dispute over a vehicle on location.
  • Vehicle Unlock – South Broad St – In reference to a gold Ford Explorer. Vehicle opened, no damage.
  • Dispute – Glenwood Dr – Units were dispatched to the listed address multiple times in reference to two subjects disputing while one was moving out of the residence. After mediation, the subject left the residence.
  • 911 Hang Up – King St – In reference to a domestic dispute between two subjects. Parties were mediated and separated. Incident documented.
  • Civil Issue – Glen Iris Drive – In reference to the caller’s home being cleared out of all of their belongings. Report taken. CID Notified.
  • Alarm – South Hammond Drive – Last Bridge Christian Church; In reference to subjects dropping off food for the soup kitchen next date. All 10-4
  • Harassment – Aycock Ave – In reference to the complainant stating that their son was threatened to be pepper sprayed. Remedies advised due to conflicting party information.
  • Disabled Vehicle – North Broad St / Sussie’s Wings; In reference to a vehicle on location with a flat tire. Situation resolved.
  • Followup/Theft/Juvenile Complaint – Nowell Street, North Broad Street- In reference to locating juvenile who was a suspect in a previous theft. It was determined through further investigation that juvenile did in fact commit the crime of Theft by Taking. Juvenile was placed under arrest, he was then handed over to his mother upon her arrival and a Juvenile complaint form has since been completed.
  • Assist Motorist – Tanglewood Dr – Vehicle unlocked with no new damage.
  • Property Retrieval – Store House Ct – In reference to subject requesting assistance to retrieve his belongings from mother’s house. Subject retrieved his belongings without incident.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Matthews Park – In reference to a vehicle parked after hours of the park. Contact was made with the driver who was asleep in the parked vehicle. I awoke driver and gathered her information, which came back valid. Driver refused consent to search her vehicle, and she was then sent on her way.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 78 & Unisia- In reference to a wrong way driver headed towards the city on Highway 78. Negative contact with any wrong way driver. County advised.
  • Civil Issue – Glenwood: Civil issue over residency. Ongoing issue. Remedies advised.
  • Lost Item – Planet Fitness -In reference to subject losing her keys. Officers were able to unlock her vehicle and retrieve her property. Remedies advised.
  • Vehicle Unlock – Motor Inn – Vehicle unlocked with no damage.
Loud Music – E Church Street – Reference to loud music in the area. Area check conducted.
  • Vehicle Accident – Hwy 78 EB Ramp and N Broad St- Two vehicle accident with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
  • Dispute – Plaza Dr – In reference to complainant wanting to be treated before his scheduled time. Advised complainant that he will be seen at his scheduled time unless they can get him treated sooner if available.
  • Vehicle Unlock – W Spring St – Vehicle unlocked no damage.

  • Vehicle Accident – Hwy 138 – Two-vehicle crash with no injuries. GEARS report.
  • Civil Issue – S Broad St – In reference to the complainant retrieving her belongings from her condemned home. All Ok.
  • Welfare Check – S Broad St – In reference to making contact with a female subject to contact Upson Regional Hospital. Contact made and subject advised.
  • Vehicle Crash – Monroe Automotive- Tow truck vs unoccupied pickup truck. GEARS report.
  • Other Law – High School Ave; On Stage – Vehicle left on location, no contact with owner. Complainant advised vehicle could remain on location.
  • Assault – Eagle Trail – In reference to an assault, complainant advised the suspect pulled her hair and was hitting her, causing a chair to fall on her daughter, Suspect was gone when officer arrived.
  • Dispute – Breedlove Dr – In reference to subject, the parent of a Ridgeview patient, upset and refusing to leave. It was explained that his daughter had been placed under a 1014 order and that her admittance was involuntary. Staff promised to provide subject with daily updates regarding his daughter and subject left without incident.
  • Mechanical Breakdown – E. Marable & Union St- In reference to a vehicle pulled off on the side of the road. Everyone ok, Taylor’s towed car to subject’s residence
  • Hit and Run – E Spring St; The Fish- Nissan backed into BMW in parking lot before leaving the location. No injuries. Contact was able to be made with the suspect vehicle. Report in GEARS.
  • Vehicle Crash – Hwy 138 / Tokyo – Two vehicles, no injuries. GEARS report.
  • Fire Assist – Nowell St. – In reference to subject burning some of his belongings in a fire pit outside of the residence following a dispute. Subject was criminally trespassed from the residence indefinitely at the tenant’s request and left voluntarily without issue.
  • Other Law – S Broad – In reference to complainant wanting a report regarding events that happened over the weekend out of state
  • Intoxicated Person – Harris St – In reference to complainant saying her husband left the house while drunk. Negative contact.
  • Agency Assist – Chestnut Lane – In reference to assisting Walton Probation with the arrest of a named subject. He was transported to WCSO Jail and turned over to staff without incident.
  • Suspicious Person – E. Church St; Chevron – In reference to a suspicious person who previously stole from the store. The suspicious person was identified as a named subject who had an active warrant. He was transported to the Walton County Jail and issued a notice of prohibited entry for the location.
  • Juvenile Problem – GW Carver Dr – In reference to subject walking outside after being removed from an online class due to multiple absences. The complainant was advised the incident was not a police matter, but both she and subject were provided with remedies. I then returned to service.
  • Vehicle Crash – W Spring St. – Two vehicle, private property crash. No injuries, GEARS report.
  • Fraud – S Broad St; CVS – In reference to an unknown male using two counterfeit 100 dollar bills. Report Taken
  • Illegal Parking – W Spring St; Walmart – In reference to vehicles illegally parked in handicap spots. Parking lot patrolled.
  • Found Property – Cherry Hill Rd / Monroe Public Works – In reference to an un-operational firearm recovered at the transfer station.
  • Damage to Property – In reference to a mobile home being demolished in Southside. Remedies advised.
  • Other Law – Breedlove Drive – In reference to the family of subject calling due to her experience a mental health crisis. Subject was evaluated and a 1013 signed for an involuntary transport to Advantage in Athens.
