MPD Reports: Suicide attempt and slew of domestic and juvenile issues

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 26 – 31, 2025, 2025. Due to the length, this report has been split into three parts. This is the second part part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Citizen Assist – Mears St – Graceful Manor – Dead battery, vehicle jumped off.
• Suspicious Person – Great Oaks – In reference to an unknown female entering patients rooms. It was determined she suffers from mental illness and was transported to Advantage Athens for a voluntary 10-13.
• Lost Item – N Madison Ave – In reference to complainant reporting she lost her Xanax prescription last date. Report taken.
• Prop Damage – Mayfield Dr & Plaza Dr – In reference to subject pulling out in front of Complainant. Complainant swerved onto the curb to avoid contact, thus damaging his front end. Taylor’s wrecker service called for Complainant’s vehicle. Information was exchanged between the two individuals and sent on their way.
• Harassment – West Spring Street – Complainant resides in the County and was advised to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
• Suspicious Vehicle – 6th Street – In reference to two vehicles parked blocking the roadway. Spoke to the owners, and both cars were moved.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 83 / Unisia Dr. – In reference to the complainant allegedly observing the male driver of a Chevy Malibu “backhanding” two children. A traffic stop was conducted, and all appeared okay.
• Dispute – GW Carver Dr – In reference to a daughter reporting abuse from her father. Made contact with the complainant, who stated the father choked, hit, and verbally abused her.
• Welfare Check – Davis St. – In reference to complainant wishing to check on the welfare of subject following a recent loss. It was determined that subject is currently incarcerated and in fine health.
• Suspicious Vehicle – West Spring Street – In reference to a baby being put in the front seat of a vehicle and the driver leaving the area. Officer patrolled the area. Negative contact.
• Juvenile Problem – Sorrells St – In reference to four unknown juveniles destroying the complainant’s archery target. Report taken.
• Firearms – Mobley Circle – In reference to multiple gunshots being heard in the area of Felker Street. Officers patrolled the area with negative contact.
• Vehicle Unlock – W. Spring St; Huddle House – In reference to a Chevy truck, vehicle unlocked without damage.
• Road Rage – Spring St / Broad St – Third party caller about road rage in the area, neither involved party was on location.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Felker Park – In reference to vehicle parked on location after dark. The subject advised he needed to get out of the house due to his grandfather passing away. Subject left without incident.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Pavilion Pkwy; Marshalls – In reference to a silver Chevy SUV driving recklessly in the parking lot. The area was checked, with negative contact.
• Dispute – Glen Iris Dr – In reference to a verbal dispute between roommates regarding living arrangements and having guests over. Parties separated Remedies advised
• Drunk Driver – 140 Blaine St; Monroe PD – In reference to a named subject driving to the Monroe Police Department Intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI, Fingerprinted at the Monroe Police Department and turned over to jail staff at the Walton County Jail without issue.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Pavilion Pkwy; Marshalls – In reference to the Chevy SUV being back on location driving recklessly. Contact was made with the vehicle at the Pavilion Pkwy and Charlotte Rowell. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was released from the scene with a verbal warning.
• Threats – Tall Oaks W – In reference to complainant advising that subject came up to her when she was exiting her residence, began making threats and stated he was going to get his people to come deal with her. Complainant was advised to call if anything further occurs. Report taken.
• Suspicious Vehicle – W Spring St; Home Depot – In reference to a Ford Ranger parked at the closed business. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied. All appeared ok.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Breedlove Dr; Walton Dialysis Center – Cleaning person on location. All okay.
• Other Law – Pine Park St – In reference to the complainant’s boyfriend taking the complainant’s vehicle without permission. Boyfriend returned the vehicle to the complainant shortly after and left the scene. The complainant denied a report due to having custody of the vehicle. Boyfriend has a warrant out of Walton County and a suspended license. Area checked with negative contact.
• 911 Hang-up – Spruce Ln – All ok on location. Continuing phone line issues.
• Tree Down – James Huff Rd- Assisted the county with tree in the road because all their units were busy. Tree removed by hand.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Georgia Ave/ Government Building – In reference to a truck on location that was seen running stop signs by a WCSO deputy. Only white truck on location was observed entering employee parking. Negative contact.
• Suspicious Person – Birch Street / Ammie Briggery Street – In reference to a female subject walking around the apartment for 45 minutes. Area check was conducted with negative contact.
• Theft Report – Ash St; In reference to the complainant reporting a stolen package. Report taken.
• Wanted Person – Sorrell Street – In reference to a named subject on location with an active Felony Violation Of Probation out of Walton County. She then fled on foot and was apprehended after being tased. She was taken to Piedmont Walton for probe removal and transported to the WCSO Jail with an additional charge for Obstruction.
• Vehicle Unlock – West Spring St @ Harbor Freight – In reference to a Kia Soul. Vehicle opened, no damage.
• Shoplifting – East Spring St @ City Market BP – In reference to a black male subject in all black with face tattoos taking pills from the gas station before running out of the store. The subject was located on Ford Street and identified as a subject had a warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office for Felony VOP. He was arrested on his warrant and Criminal Trespass from the store.
• Suspicious Person – Monroe Post Office; Subject on location asking for money. Subject was sent on his way with no issues.
• Property Damage – Old Mill Pt- Complainant way from the property moving over holidays. Extensive damage was done inside the residence by an intruder.
• Loud Music – East Church @ Lander St.
• Dispute report – Aycock Ave – In reference to complainant having questions about a civil issue. Remedies advised.
• Suicide Attempt – Harris St – In reference to subject on location reported to have taken an unknown amount of prescription medication. Turned over to Walton EMS.
• Burglary Attempt – Carwood Drive – In reference to the out of town homeowner advising there was a male on their porch with gloves and a mask who moved their camera from viewing him. The subject was located in the area and detained for questioning. After being interviewed by CID the subject was cleared and released without incident.
