MPD Reports: Unruly patient at the hospital; items missing from self storage; more domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 24 – 30, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Business Alarm – MLK Jr Blvd / Zaxby’s; Employees on location advised accidental activation.
• Alarm N Broad St; Bojangles. Employees on location, all ok.
• Vehicle Unlock – Highway 138; Great Oaks – In reference to a blue van. Vehicle opened, no damage.
• Vehicle Lockout – Armistead Circle; In reference to a white Jeep Patriot. Vehicle opened, no damage.
• Alarm – N Midland Ave. Maintenance worker on location, all ok.
• Domestic Dispute – S Madison Ave. In reference to a physical altercation between subject and another named individual who was gone when officers arrived. After investigation, a warrant for him was taken for Battery FVA. Report taken.
• Theft Report – Breedlove Drive / Secure Self Storage – In reference to complainant wanting to report items missing from unit. Report taken.
• Vehicle unlock – Unisia Dr; Walmart DC – Vehicle unlocked without damage.
• Vehicle unlock – Breedlove Dr. In reference to a Kia Sportage with the keys locked inside. The vehicle was unlocked without damage.
• Funeral Escort – Union Street / E Marable Street – Roadway blocked.
• 911 Hang Up – Alcovy Street; Georgia Probation Management – In reference to a 911 hang up from this address. No contact was made on location; all appeared to be okay.
• Follow Up – GW Carver Drive – In reference to previous call – the named subject advised he had proof of the incident that occurred earlier this date. He was taken into custody for FVA Battery and taken to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Jail without incident.
• Vehicle Unlock – South Broad St / Oak & Vine – In reference to a box truck. Vehicle opened, no damage.
• Private Property Crash – W Spring St; McDonald’s- Two vehicle private property crash with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Other Law – Tractor Supply Parking Lot- In reference to a Good Samaritan observing an elderly male fall in the parking lot while walking to his vehicle. The complainant was worried about if the elderly male was safe to drive or not. The elderly male declined any and all medical assistance.
• Burglary in Progress – Sorrell Street – In reference to vacant house possibly being occupied bysquatters. The front door was unsecure and residence was cleared.
• Firearms – West Spring St / Farmer’s Home Furniture; Negative contact in the area.
• Rage Road – Hwy 78W at Unisia Dr. – In reference to complainant reporting a road rage incident that occurred on the highway. The complainant wanted a report of the incident. Report taken.
• Alarm – N Broad St; Bojangles – Contact made with employees on location who advised all was okay.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Plaza Drive / Plaza Trace – In reference to a SUV parked in the roadway foran extended period of time. Negative contact.
• Civil call – Lawrence St. – In reference to the complainant wanting her purse back. The purse was found and given back upon arrival.
• Residential Alarm – Landers Street – In reference to an activated residential alarm. All appeared ok on location.
• Mechanical Breakdown – McDaniel Street – In reference to subject, who pulled onto the grass due to vehicle issues. The vehicle could not be jumped off, and subject preferred to hire her own wrecker service. All okay.
• Loud Music – Radford Street- Complainant called back and advised the individuals playing the music left the area before my arrival.
• Vehicle Unlock – Tall Oaks Lane- Vehicle was not unlocked due to the registered owner not on scene. The complainant was also advised that the vehicle was not insured.
• Welfare Check – Southside – In reference to neighbors not seeing the resident all day. Negative contact after repeated attempts at residence.
• Dispute – East Church Street, Chestnut Cupboard- In reference to multiple subjects acting disorderly and possibly about to fight. All subjects were gone when officers arrived.
• Dispute Non Violent – Royal CT; In reference to complainant not allowing his ex-girlfriend toretrieve clothes out of his bedroom. He allowed her to retrieve her belongings and remedies were advised.
• Other Law – South Madison Ave, Felker Park- In reference to subject being approached by two strangers in a vehicle while he was walking down the side of the street. Subject did not allege any crime rather they asked him where he was going. Subject did have an active arrest warrant however he was out of extradition range. Subject was advised to get a ride back to his parent’s residence to which he did.
• Vehicle Accident – Charlotte Rowell / Pavilion Parkway – In reference to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. See the GEARS report.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Pavilion Pkwy; Publix – In reference to the complainant advising of multiple vehicles in the parking lot speeding and driving recklessly. Contact was made with the group of vehicles and advised of loitering laws. Due to no particular vehicles being pointed out or evidence of the acts the group was advised to disperse. No further action taken.
• Follow up – Sixth Street- In reference to previous call. Contact was made with Subject again athis parent’s residence. Subject advised that he was still nervous about the two unknown men who spoke to him earlier. Subject was advised to go inside of his residence.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Matthews Park – In reference to two subjects parked in the park after hours having a conversation. They were advised of park hours and sent on their way.
• Suspicious Vehicle – 6th St – In reference to the complainant advising of a passenger car and truck speeding down the street. The area was checked and negative contact was made.
• Dispute – West Spring Street, Piedmont Walton- In reference to 10-13 patient female subject being unruly and assaulting staff while they attempted to administer a shot. The hospital security staff were informed that the subject was their responsibility while under the 10-13 order. She eventually calmed down and the staff members declined to press charges.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Highland Village – Complainant stated someone parked in front of her residence with headlights on. Area checked with negative contact.
• Foot Patrol – Downtown: All OK.
• Loud Music – Ridge Road – In reference to a resident at a surrounding apartment reporting that the listed residence was playing loud music. Contact was made with the disturbance, and the individual was advised to keep music off/down due to the time of night. All okay.
