The Walton County Citizens Corps is taking applications for their eleventh CERT training class beginning on Sept. 14, 2017 and running for seven weeks, Thursdays at 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The class will be held at Lighthouse World Outreach Center, 609 Gene Bell Rd, Monroe, GA. The final class will be a live exercise held on a Saturday morning, Oct. 28.
Here is an opportunity for those who have begun the CERT course but were unable to complete it. Those individuals can complete the course by taking only the classes that they missed. Or perhaps you know someone who would benefit from taking this free course from the beginning.
If you are interested in taking the course, please visit the CERT website at http://www.waltoncert.org/CERT_join.php to download and re-submit an application. A detailed description of the course can be found on the CERT website. Classes can fill up quickly, and there is limited space available. If you’re interested in CERT training, you should preregister as soon as possible. The CERT training class is free.
