Obituary and funeral service: Dorothy Jean ‘Dot’ Jessup, 89, of Loganville

Dorothy Jean “Dot” Jessup, age 89 of Loganville, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Center Hill Baptist Church, 6372 Highway 20, Loganville with Pastor Bill Jessup and Pastor Rando Acres officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Loganville and 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Center Hill Baptist Church, Loganville.

Dot was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. She retired from RaceTrac Corporate Headquarters where she worked as a receptionist.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Nora (Meece) Chapman; sisters, Mildred Elliott, Barbara McCullers and JoAnn Dowling; brother, Tommy Chapman. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bob Jessup of Loganville; sons and daughters-in-law, John Jessup (Anna) of Loganville and Bill Jessup (Marlie) of Ellijay; sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Childers (Troy) of St. Augustine, FL and Kathy Gaines of Marietta; grandchildren and their spouses, Catherine Boeckman (Jordan), Thomas Jessup, Laura Jessup, Cameron Jessup, Charles Jessup (Maddy), Allison Jessup, Baleigh Drummond, and Morgan Drummond; great grandchildren, Ellie Boeckman and Charlotte Boeckman; two nieces that were like her daughters, Lorri Branchfield and Stacey Branchfield; numerous family and friends.
