Kenz Yvonne Lee Rawls, known to some as Mom, but most as Granny. She was 90 years old when she passed on May 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 11, 1935 in Mckenzie, Alabama. She was married in 1955 and soon after moved to Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband Calvin ‘Jack’ Rawls, who passed away in 2002, they were married for 47 years. She is also preceded by her son Calvin ‘Junior’ Rawls, her grandson Stephen Starnes, her parents Kenyard Shelton and Irene Lee, her sisters Ruth Gomillion, Lois Mitchell, Melba Mitchell, Muriel Crum, Louise Kervin, and brothers Billy Joe Lee, Melvin Lee, Vester Lee, and Russell Lee.
She is survived by her children, Teresa and Mike Henry, Debbie and Danny Starnes, Darlene and John Rex, and Shelton and Andrea Rawls. Along with her grandchildren Mark, Angel, Christopher, Austin, Robin (Kyle), Rachel (Graham), Alex, Jacob, Julianna, and Jennifer, and her 13 great-grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Yvonne spent her life raising her children, and eventually her grandchildren as well. She was proud of her family in everything they did. She loved cooking, but most of all baking- especially a good pound cake for grandkids, or a pink cake for her kids
She lived her life devoted to God. She enjoyed going to church and reading her Bible. She was a faithful member of Luxomoni Baptist Church since the early 70s.
When she was young she enjoyed skating and dancing. As she was older she enjoyed telling stories about her younger days.
She will be remembered for all the wonderful memories and good laughs we shared. She will be deeply missed by all.
A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Don Horton officiating. Interment followed at Corinth Memorial Gardens, 1635 Highway 81, Loganville. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. (770) 466-1544.
