Marian “Rachel” (Boss) Rutledge, age 71 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Briscoe officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM prior to service.
Rachel attended Stone Mountain High School in in Stone Mountain, GA. Rachel was known for her wonderfully outgoing personality, her beautiful hair, and her joyful, infectious laugh. Never meeting a stranger, she enjoyed socializing everywhere she went – from restaurants to the grocery store and everywhere in between. Rachel loved spending time with family and friends, and was a fixture at the Atlanta Dragway where her sons raced for many years. She loved trips to the beach, clothes, shoes, and accessories for all occasions. A stage 3 breast cancer survivor, Rachel always lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed attending Sharon Baptist Church in Loganville, GA, with her mother.
She is preceded in death by her father Eddie Nathaniel Boss, brother Jeffrey Boss, brother Eddie Dwayne Boss, sister Shirley Thomas, and sister Teresa Boss. Rachel is survived by her son Jacob (Holly) Rutledge, son Joey (Kelly) Rutledge, grandchildren Tyler, Dani, and Charlie, her mother Ruby Grace (Powell) Boss, and numerous aunts, nieces, and nephews.
