Obituary: Barney Ross Manders, 91, of Monroe

Barney Ross Manders, age 91 of Monroe, passed away on June 25, 2026. He was born in Barrow County on July 20, 1934 to the late William Ernest Manders and the late Berthalene Brown Manders. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Carrie Bell Elsmore Manders; his daughter in law, the late Tina Manders; his grandson, the late William Ross Manders.

Surviving are sons and daughter in law, Ross and Ginny Manders, Russell Manders; sisters, Jean Doster, Gail Holm, and Cemele Almond; grandchildren, Carrie Elizabeth Manders, Lauren and Shawn Patrick, Julie Ann Manders; great grandchildren, Kaiden James Manders Daniel and Lawson Ross Manders.

A visitation will be held on Monday June 29th at Meadows Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. John Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
