Ray Hubbard was born on January 26, 1961 to Anneliese and Roudeze Hubbard in Hartwell, Georgia. The family moved to Decatur and then to Conyers in 1969. Ray attended Heritage High School in Conyers, but received his GED later in life.
He married the love of his life, Vicki, in 1983. They have lived in Social Circle their entire 34 years of marriage. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Andrew, Joel, Kady LeAnne and Mitchell Ellis.
Most of all, Ray was “OPA” to his sweet grandchildren, Joel and Piper Hubbard and Cami, Evan, and Jackie Sorrow.
Ray had lots of friends in Social Circle and many other places. Ray was with Vicki in the many places she went for Lions Club functions and made even more friends.
Ray worked at Astro Plastics in Covington for 18 years. He loved his work family. Ray’s passion, beside his family, was his love for yard sales and flea markets. He never walked away from one empty handed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Vicki; his children: Andrew & Mary Hubbard, Kady & Ron Sorrow and Mitch & his fiancée, Titly Sarker; his grandchildren: Joel & Piper Hubbard and Cami, Evan, & Jackie Sorrow; his “mother”: “Sue-Boo” Sue Ellis; his mother and father: Anneliese & Roudeze Hubbard; sisters: Loretta Wiedner and Jannette Pospisil; brothers: Summer Ingram & Randy Hubbard.
