Downtown Social Circle will come alive with patriotic spirit on Thursday, July 2, as the community continues Walton’s America’s 250th anniversary with an evening of local vendors, live music, and the annual Hometown Heroes Parade.
The celebration begins with the Social Circle Farmers Market from 4 to 7 p.m. at Friendship Park, where visitors can shop local vendors while enjoying live music from Jake Loban. His performance will continue before and after the parade, providing entertainment throughout the evening.
The Hometown Heroes Parade steps off at 6 p.m., inviting residents to line the streets dressed in their favorite red, white, and blue as the community honors local heroes and celebrates the nation’s Semiquincentennial.
Organizers encourage families to make an evening of it by arriving early for the Farmers Market, enjoying the live music, dining at one of downtown’s local restaurants, and experiencing the small-town atmosphere that makes Social Circle a favorite gathering place.
The free celebration is part of Walton County’s ongoing America 250 festivities, commemorating 250 years of American history through community pride, patriotism, and hometown traditions.
