Southern Plantations to host inaugural Annual Pickle & Jelly Jamboree

It begins with a rhyme and ends with a prize – is your pickle or jelly the best around?

Southern Plantation will be hosting its first Annual Pickle & Jelly Jamboree next month. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017 at Southern Plantation, 580 Tommy Lee Fuller Road in Loganville.

The cost to enter is $5. Another $5 will get you a meal of pulled pork sandwich, chips and a drink.

RSVP with concierge at 770-466-2273. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category.

Are yours sweet or are yours sour?

We’ll be tasting and judging entries each hour.

Are they dill and crunchy too?

Lots of variations, more than a few.

Picking the best tasting pickles, jams and jellies,

Our judges will leave with big full bellies.

Provide your recipe, attached to the jar.

Winners in each category will be far from par.

So submit your best and hope to win.

The judging will begin promptly at ten!
